Bard Kiting Progression in Unrest and LOIO, EverQuest P99 Green

Some solo AE kiting in Unrest starting at level 8 and then into Lake of Ill Omen. I've died, I cried, but I persevered to level 20 in just a few hours. This is just showing the level progression and that it can be done! Please skip around as the video is lengthy.

Something I find helpful, is binding /hidecorpse off to my movement keys. It doesnt always happen but if you click a body halfway through and start looting you die. Hiding the bodies makes this not a thing.

How do you adjust the height so that you can better see the mobs to the left-hand side? My camera is straight to the back, I think. I love your guides.

I'm only scrolling out as far as it lets me, then adjusting the "height" with my right mouse button. Then its a matter of a steady hand to keep it at the angle you want.

@@lethandalsegno3072 what screen resolution do you play at? I can't get the distance to look like you have it no matter what angle I have in place. I am curious if it's the resolution. Being able to see the mobs would be immensely helpful.

@@apocalism My resolution is 1920x1080. I haven't tried different resolutions, so I'm not sure if it makes a difference!

How’d you get the red mouse cursor?

You can drag and drop any mouse cursor file you like into the eq file folder, that contains eq mouse files. Just make sure your new one has the same name, then drop it in and click replace

You make this look really easy, getting that sweet spot of close enough to do damage but far enough to not get stunned really is taking some getting used to

Great guide, I've been trying to do this following your steps but having a lot of trouble. What is your ping at, I'm over 200ms and finding it hard to land dots and avoid being hit whilst circling

Lag is our greatest enemy in getting us killed. My ping is normally about 50-60ms. Some ways to possibly counter this is to adjust clipping plane and turn down all particle effects and graphics. Also if you have logs on, try turning them off with /log off. I'm unsure about actual computer settings so just be careful with that stuff if you try it. Other than that I am really unsure how to fix lag besides maybe the internet provider of something of that nature.

1 to 8 is basically one on one killing?

You can strafe kite at level 2, but just know that your dot only does 2 points of damage per tick, so it is very slow. I personally feel you can just kill those mobs faster melee style to get to level 8 for your stringed instrument. That double damage per tick is the prize!

What UI is that? I really would love that utility tab along with %s and numbers for hp, mana, etc.

That piece I got from here www.eqinterface.com/downloads/fileinfo.php?id=1536 . Replace that in your Velious UI file and should be good to go, but make sure you copy the entire Velious (and put somewhere else) it case it messes up. The UI's can be weird and glitchy at times. The hotkey one can be found on Eqinterface as well but I cant find the link at the moment.
