Here's a Bard support / healer build for when you hit level 50 and are ready to do dungeons and raids! I talk about Bard's skill rotation and skill usage too. This guide gives lots of buffs, debuffs, shields, and heals and is super fun to play! I hope you guys give it a shot, and have fun messing with builds of your own!

I was going nuts trying to figure out why the build was costing so much. You have the T3 Wind of Protection of Guardian Tune but she doesn't take it with the fresh 50 skill points.

Great guide. Thanks alot :) Althought i need to mention something. I have two support builds but none of them are using Sound holic. ( they suggested sound holic and harp of rhythm only for the normal dungeons during the questline) They basically use : sound shock, stigma, wind of music, sound vibration, overtune of storm, heavenly perfomance , guardian and thythm buckshot. Any specific reason that both of the builds dont use sound holic and harp of rhythm? And why you choose to use them instead? Thanks! UPDATE: I tried Myca's build and i even got MVP in a guardian raid. I am super happy. You should really follower her support build. !

You can swap off soundholic for extra skill points if you want to funnel them into more supportive skills for sure! I like it for the added DPS. And I use harp of rhythm to build serenade meter (when I get enough skill points, I also use it for the Note Brand debuff) which is extremely useful on debuff uptime. Just make sure you don't swap out your buffing skills and shield skill, and realistically you can play with a lot of different builds and swap in skills situationally :D (rhythm buckshot is your headshot counter if you need it, etc)

Did they change the “Desperate Salvation” engraving for our version? It only restores the HP for the Bard, it used to give the heal to party members as well right?

I'm still a bit away from the endgame so I'm not sure about the necessity of it on dungeons but do you perhaps know if I can leave it out for Prelude of Storm? i love bard so far. Coming from FF14 and others, i never saw supports as ''healers'' to begin with. You can support in alot of ways. Especially something i allways find funny about alot of healing people not getting the concept of: Even healer dps matters, because your dmg is basicly healing. If you manage to also dps at the same time so a boss will be dead lets say 20 seconds faster, thats 20 seconds less time of people taking damage and needing heal or where they can mess up and die. If everyone is fine on hp, and you have mana and youre just chilling there watching until people need heals again... you re basicly doing it wrong. And Bard really fits into that. On the other hand, i usually dont even want to play pure dps classes since i find them to be kind of dull. ''oh a new skill.. guess what it does...more dmg'' I need characters with utility in some form,

Luckily in lost ark some dps can be supoort too, soul fist has party wide buffs and a counter hit

I've been playing FF14 for about a year and a half now. I love the white mage in that. I originally rolled them because I thought they'd be healing and buff specialists, not able to do much else, but fantastic at those. Turns out in Dungeons my best mitigation tool was also my AoE dps tool. I really like FF14's encounter philosophy. Damage in that game isn't heavy and constant, it's slow, and predictable. Even in wall to wall pulls, there's not actually that much damage coming in. Healer DPS in FF14 matters, because they're allowed to do it. Compare that to WoW, healer DPS matter a lot in that game too, they just are never allowed to do it because damage is huge and constant. You're rarely allowed to DPS in WoW because in the time of a single GCD, the tank can take more damage than you can recover, or even get splatted.

question for "serenade salvation" skill. The desc said that "heal over times for 14s, 18s, or 24s. But in raids or DG. i don't think that the salvation actually end even above 9s. Can you give me an answer? I've been frustrating about this since the first day

This is great , just used a pass on this and your video helped loads, not too important for this class but you still get higher tool tip on a skill if you spend all ya points even if you don't have enough to get to another grade your tool tip goes up every point gained

How is bard when it comes to doing dailies and such? I am planning to play bard but somehow being discouraged because a lot of people are saying you have to have 2 sets of gears. Maybe you have experienced doing dailies and clearing chaos dungeons etc with a full support bard, are you able to solo it just fine? I dont mind if it takes longer as long as its possible

I would definitely use a different build for Chaos dungeons, and swap to this one for supporting in 4man+ content! :) But you can get all your dailies done on Bard!

So is there a set gear Stat priority that we need? Or is it more all about our engravings? Also how many engravings can we have active at once? I can't find anyone saying the amount we can have at once.

You can have as many active engravings as you can activate! (the better your gear way later on, the more engraving points they have so you'll have lots more don't worry). Specs I would go either a swiftness build for CD reduction and speed, or specialization for more heals/bubbles! Up to your playstyle :D

Rhythm buckshot is your counter, you can change this out for Harp of Rhythm if you want to bring it along. You can always swap out for more stagger skills as well! :) And another video with more skill points will be out later down the road, once I farm more in game.
