5:15 actually the best portal you can use. Makes enemies friendly, and makes the game actually enjoyable. Also if you have the summoner name "polypuff", you get 95% chance of making all fights around you stop for 5 minutes

Another quick tip people don't realize - you can cast Bard's E from further away, no need to stay right next to a wall!

This is indeed a very helpful mechanic that people sleep on. It's especially useful when you want to help allies disengage from a distance, and I've used it to save quite a few teammates that were smart enough to hug a wall that I could throw a portal into. You can also do some mind games with it. Just don't use it when you're ganking from fog. If you need the surprise factor, then it's better to wait until you're near the wall, so you can enter instantly.

while that interaction works that way, if a sivir or nocturne cast their shield after the dmg but before they get stunned, they will be able to block the CC. so with a single instance spellshield, you can only block either the dmg, or the cc, not both. an enemy bard learned this the hardest way, when my malzahar passive came up in between both instances. he was fuming :D I have confused many ppl with that when playing nocturne vs bard as well

@@privatjetconnaisseur Honestly, of you can time it that well then you more than deserve to nullify the Q-stun. Most people who _can_ react quick enough just from seeing the Q cast, panic shield themselves immediately or do so by predicting the Q.

You can be stunned in bard's portal and it gets you out of it. If Cassiopeia's w is under the start of the portal you will not be able to take it as it is considered dashing. Zhonya is not really a counter but you can buy it even you play Bard and use it on yourself just after using you R on yourself. If someone is chasing you and is close to you, you can use your R on yourself and flash just before it reaches you. I'm playing Bard since he's out and I didn't even know about W's bug this is quite funny lol.

they zhonya interaction has some edge cases just like enter E from right/left side every 500 games. if you go into stasis 1 or 1.5 secs before enemies aroudn you and therefor leave or cast abilities prior to your enemies, (just imagine veigar here, your enemies are already stunned by an already casted cage and get W Q on top of them + all the spells from your team. Or u might be in the end of a root (morg Q) bard ult arriving, and u zhonya at the start of the the animation, which can get u running and dashing away (or in) earlier. this entire channel exists for those edge cases, its tricks u dont know about (because they probably arent THAT usefull in every game) but if a main/OTP has 20 of those tricks perfected, they might use one every few games or some minor tricks every single game, heavily depending on the champ.

Just as a note, the W bug is pretty old, and is also known by Riot, just not fixed cause of the low playrate of Bard. However if people report you for using it, it is technically considered as bug abuse, and thus can get your account banned. So doing it in your ranked games is very much not advised, cause again it is a bug, and abusing it can just get you banned.

If u buy a zhonia and someone is very close to you, u can r yourself and the enemy and at the same time spam the zhonia just after the r. It allows u to get free few seconds before the enemy, this time is usefull to portal before that the enemy get unstase

With Anathema's Chains, you can Q - R - Q for a 7.3 second stun. Vengence passive proc on Stun, and R does both Stun and Stasis. Anathema's Chains can be useful if you're up against someone slippery like Fizz, who can easily escape from your normal ult due to low cool down escapes. Stasis will still be 2.5, but due to vengence, they'll be stunned for longer. Anathema will extend the duration of your stun if you're within 700 range when it hits, guaranteeing that you'll Q them when they exit Stasis. For equivilant range, see Frozen Heart's range.

As a Bard main.....I spent an hour practicing that portal to/from alcove. It's EXTREMELY PRECISE. it takes a bunch of time to set up and I can't really guarantee I can use it going TO the alcove reliably. Any tips on that portal specifically?

I got it down after about 2 mins you just gotta click the red circle area at start and then aim at the torch in the alcove and should get it every time

If bard Qs a morgana with black shield and the q damage destroys the black shield and then hits a wall then he stuns her but if she still has a black shield after the q hits something then she doesn't get stunned

It's because technically he stun only applies when you hit the wall so these shenanigans doesn't work, like the Q that stuns sivir even hen she flashes with an E First cuz she already has been "marked" when hit once so when it hit the wall it will mark again and stun her Second because the first Q was affected by her so she was marked and hen it hits the wall it mark the tho and stun they

His entire kit is reliant on landing qs (double stuns to be effective), and his r is one of the few abilities that can fuck your team over. The travel time of it requires lots of practice to get a good grasp of. Obviously bard is high skill, so many champs are way more mechanically forgiving.
