Thank you for posting this prayers. My mother passed away today,she was Russian orthodox, but I think she appreciated the guidance. It doesn't really matter what religion you follow, God is One for all.

the clear light (god) is for all and is in all - YES, but the point is the understanding of that, you never perceive this light unless during lifetime. when dead the so-called daily consciousness vaporizes and what is left : the subconscious with all its atavisms. if a person dies and is capable of looking in a source of light (candle etc.) that will help perhaps ... did you know that the dead can hear you by his ear for 3 days if not forced away by his karma ... hope this helps you when time comes

for your understanding: the bardo processes equals to the yoga path reversed and the bardo texts also explain somehow the creation of all phenomena

You will not be lost, remember if anything scares you it is you, after all, doing the scaring. On earth most of us are foolish idiots who have learned very difficult lessons. Spiritual advancement does not come easy but it does come. Farewell fellow cosmic traveler may your Bardo go well for you.

I have a question about Bardo Thodol interpretation. If A spirit of the deceased can travel anywhere, can it travel through time? Can I for example visit my own self, in the past? And is it possible to posses one self? I know that there is a warning in this scripture to NOT attempt to posses living things. If anyone have deeper understanding of Bardo Thodol.. I would surly appreciate a response.
@lobsangdargye Жыл бұрын
Hey, it may be a little late, but regarding your question: In the Bardo, a being is not restricted by time nor space as the body in this state is subtle and it can go anywhere by mere thought. On the other hand, this means that a mind that isn't prepared (meditation or practice) will be "tossed around helplessly like a feather in the wind", eventually leading to desperate urges to escape this state and taking a "random" rebirth instead of focusing on a favorable rebirth (Pure land, human realm). The mindstream contains all karmic seeds and potentials from past lives which also influence what you perceive in the respective Bardo states. It is also mentioned in the Bardo Thodol that you see your funeral or your relatives mourning your death or calling out your name, but when you try to communicate with them, you don't succeed as they can't hear you. This may upset, enrage or dishearten you as you feel helpless and this gives rise to attachment to this life. Therefore, it is important to recognize that literally everything has to be left behind once you're dead.
