I never thought about bardock that much but when I saw dbs Broly, I realized that bardock really is a important character, he’s the reason why goku achive his goals. If it wasn’t for him, goku would of died in the explosion. I really love bardock, he sacrifice for his son and his family. RIP bardock 😭.

As far as I'm concerned he was the most heroic and best fighter of the whole saiyan race. He wasn't the strongest and he wasn't the most memorable, but he was the only one who realised Frieza's plan and the only one who stood up for his whole race. He had the most pridefull death and fought until the end against someone way stronger.

This comes from having a pure heart, after goku bumped his head he became the most pure saiyan ever and this helped give him more “s cells” Bardock was basically a hired soldier as well as all past saiyans. While I think he had more s cells than other saiyan because his cannon version actually cared about his son(unlike most male saiyans) he definitely didn’t have as much as goku.
