Hi Joe! I hope you can help me with this. I recently bought this awesome Ibanez FR800 with this Bare knuckle, but it always has a loud hum coming from the pickups, I tested with 3 different amps (A Boss katana artist mk II, boss katana mini, marshall 15cfx). With clean sound, the hum reduces, but with distortion the hum is really loud. And all this happens with the humbucker function, with the single coil switch on, I now it's normal to have humming noises. I already sent it back and received a new guitar, same model, but I really don't know if it is normal, I have new cables also, dial the gain, tested in different areas avoiding electromagnetic fields, but I don't know if this guitar has this characteristic bc of the aftermath pickups and I'll have to buy a noise suppressor and dialing my sound in a different way. It's the first time that I try a pickups like this and I have never suffered a problem lile this I don't know if a luthier will have to do some reparation or something. I have another guitar with blackouts pickups and fender strat, but I don't have this problem with them. Thanks for your help and for the review, such a nice tones.

Normally I would avoid this comment because I'm just taking shots in the dark here. But you took some serious time typing this thing out. To me it sounds like the guitar isn't grounded properly. Let me screen shot this comment and send it to my guy and I will see what he says.

From my guy, "First thoughts, maybe a bad ground connection, sloppy wiring, or something straight up wired wrong" "I can't remember for sure what color code BKP uses on their humbuckers. Might've been seymour duncan color coding. But if somebody wired up and didnt know there was a difference, they could have the pickups wired wrong. Which can cause lots of weird issues." (This is an issue we ran into a few times, lol) He then eluded to the fact that you should bring it in to a skilled guitar tech who can diagnose the problem.

@@Crossbonesization I had the FR800 and it had many quality control issues too. I think their quality is dropping rapidly. I sounds like a grounding issue or possibly something you have turned on near the guitar. These pickups are very sensitive and they’ll be affected by electrical currents near by. I had a set of Silos that would buzz if my soldering iron was on and within 5 feet.

@@brandonbock4763 Yeah, actually I took it to the luthier as Joe recommended me and the main grounding issue was on the pick up selector. Also, it had a lot of spare cable creating something like an antenna. Because of the Bare Knuckle, it makes a lot of noise, but with a sentry pedal from TC Electronic, solved it. But yes, their quality control is going to the ground every time...
