Bare-knuckle fighting feels more raw and real. It forces precision since reckless punches can break your hand. Fights often end quicker, reducing brain trauma from prolonged beatings. Sure, there are more cuts and hand injuries, but it’s a purer form of combat.

Back in the late 90s & early 2000s I had friends who lived in a big house who had a big backyard & they bought a new wrestling ring & all of them were heavy into wrestling . One night at a house party 2 guys decided to get into the ring & actually have a fist fight when no one was to get into the ring unless they were actually wrestling that was the number one rule . My friends tried to stop these guys but instead of them taking it out in the street & risk having the police called & the party getting shut down they let them go through with it with mma rules & after that night once a month that ring became a mma fight scene & everyone who came to watch knew they had to keep the noise down because of the neighbors. Once the crowd started to get to big the 2 brothers who owned the house that I knew sold the house & moved out in the country & I mean deep deep out in the country were your next door neighbor lived miles away from you. They set up the ring on there land & from that night on every Saturday that became Fight Night . They didn’t charge anyone admission to come & watch , it was cool to see . Fighters had to have their own mouth guards & wear 6 ounce gloves & one of the brothers wife’s was a nurse so they had some kind of medical assistance on hand , they eventually quit doing it because the ring being out in the elements started to rot away & they didn’t feel like buying a new ring mat because it was so expensive so around 2003 it all came to a end & they tore down the ring .

Kimbo's legacy fell apart as soon as he had to fight for it. When he was put into a fight where his homies couldn't help when he started to lose, he lost A LOT.
@tinotsutchie18 күн бұрын
It wasn't a matter of his friends helping him, but the level of competition. I think people underestimate the skill level at even entry-level pro fighting. Street fighters range from untrained to gym practitioners. No one is going to Jackson Wink for street fighting. When you bump up to pro level, those are the guys getting high-level training that block low-level fighters from progressing.
@pskarnaq7317 күн бұрын
@tinotsutchie watch his street fights. Every time the other guy starts to get the upper hand, his friends crowd in and help him. Kimbo was the Biden of street fighting.

If they are going to fight bare knuckle, they shouldn't be allowed to wrap their wrists. Yeah, their knuckles are bare..but the tape writs only allows the fighters to throw harder. The whole argument behind 'bare knuckle is safer than gloved fights', is that due to the high probability of guys breaking their hands and wrists, the figthers have to be WAY more selective with their punches. By being allowed to tape their wrists in these North American sanctioned bare knuckle events, guys are able to throw with less concern of injurying their own hands and wrists. TRue bare knuckle would produce more broken hands and wrists than it would facial injuries on the other guy...

@lostboysvideovault because sanctioned fighting has been, and always will be, a HUUUUUUGE deal world wide. They're just explaining why my previous statement is true: why do people get I to fighting? Why do the fans love it so much? Why is the UFC still the biggest Pay-per-view of all time? Because this is the world we live in. That's why a educational host channel is showcasing fighting. BECAUSE WE ALL WANT TO KNOW HOW IT HAPPENS.
