I positively love my 412 cab, G12T 75’s that spent over 10 years as a touring bass cab, so its well broken in for my guitar. Great test Like the shrill has been rolled down.

Excellent comparison! The new one sounds new. The old one sounds a little more mellow. Like a baseball glove that's been broken in. Something in the higher frequencies of the new one is different. They both sound amazing! Great test!

Wow, as i've always said speakers/drive units & voice coils need time to loosen up & bed in the cone & surround to become more plyable before you get the true tone...shame about the sag, some guitarists will like that , i expect an extra sharper treble end of a new drive unit...lucky for me i play bass...i like the 12" bass unit you designed with the makers, moves a lot of air compaired to a lot of bass drive units..great clean tone that can take plenty of power from your amp...one day i'll buy one, the 4ohm 2 x 12" with compression tweeter ,watched demo on YT, very impressed.....

It's as if the old one displays more transient

I'd say the old one responds less faithfully to the transients.

@@BarefacedAudio maybe I mixed them up :-) they both sound good

I miss the plywood. 😅 Old has more low mids clarity on that. Old is also slightly less bass-end or rolls off.
