Yo Nick, have you thought about cycling your running shoes? My friend is an avid runner as well and he has 4 different pairs of Rokas, and everyday he wears a different pair. It lets the soles decompression so the cushion and sole feels good as new for longer.

ChicagoBearsFan23 yea I think it takes a full 24 hours for foam in the shoes to go back to normal after a run. Hope he sees your comment!

Every day that I’m in the gym, when I think I’m going to die, I just think of how hard you push through difficult workouts and I keep going! Without you and your videos, I wouldn’t be where I am today. I wouldn’t be seeing all of these results, and I truly, can’t thank you enough. I’m so PUMPED, for the marathon. SPYY As what the other guy said, it’s all perspective. For someone who doesn’t run or someone who’s a beginner 10 miles seems crazy, yet a lot of advanced runners will do 10 miles for their easy runs, especially distance runners who do stuff like marathons and ultra marathons

You should do a video where you actually count the calories and macros you would normally eat in marathon prep just to see what it is
@MayurUPatel4 жыл бұрын
counting macros is honestly a waste of time. just eat healthy with a good amount of protein. like intuitively you know when you're eating healthy all day.
@MayurUPatel4 жыл бұрын
also eating healthy overall is more sustainable then counting everything all the time and stopping after 2 weeks
@ryzo73244 жыл бұрын
Mayur Patel yeah the problem is most people can’t count intuitively or eat healthy intuitively end up over eating or under eating. I don’t think you need to be super meticulous when tracking but it becomes pretty routine and easy after a while.
@MayurUPatel4 жыл бұрын
@@ryzo7324 very true. but i also am a firm believer if you're eating healthy IT IS DAMN NEAR IMPOSSIBLE to overeat so i just eat more than usual. like it's so hard for me to reach my caloric goal of maintain my body weight when i eat healthy so i stuff with face with healthy foods all day. very subjective i know.
@ryzo73244 жыл бұрын
Mayur Patel I get where your coming from, i would love to do that.personally I’m on the flip side of someone who almost always over eats if I’m not tracking 😂 all comes down to lifestyle, goals and whatever is sustainable for yourself

@billybuckingham82634 жыл бұрын
Noizy Undead that works, but the rincons are a very light weight shoe and not meant to last long either
@robwatkins92694 жыл бұрын
I started running in Rincons 3 months ago based off your recommendation and your prior experiences with foot pain on distance runs. I was dealing with similar problems and trying out SOOOO many different pairs of shoes that I was getting eff'ing pissed!. I can cosign 100% that although these are very comfortable over longer distance and speed runs, the outer sole layer does wear fast. I'm still pushing a first pair but started cycling a 2nd pair of Rincons. Even though the outer sole rubber has worn exposing the inner "soft material", they're still running comfy with no pain, so I'm gonna see how long I can push these cause that outer sole layer does vanish quick. But, with a price point of $115 (not counting 10% discount at my local store...so ~$105), I am not gonna complain too much. They suit my needs and keep away foot pain.

2 hour long run one week before a marathon? With what purpose? If you are an experienced or pro marathoner it might be alright, but as somebody just venturing in his third/fourth marathon it could cause some unnecessary strain in your body. One week out of a marathon there is absolutely no areobic gain you can get from any workout, the job is already done. Would highly reconsider doing that long run if I was you man. Best of luck!

Ok, well first off I want to say that anything that follows is not to be considered "criticism". Secondly, I'm an old fart (60) and used to eat a lot more of what you're eating. That being said, in my entire life I extremely rarely ever ate breakfast. Not much for lunch and then pile it on for dinner. Seems to me like you eat pretty often and fairly large quantities - that's only my opinion ... Seems like in the endurance sport world everyone is all about low fat and high carbs. Let's face it, in your 20's you can eat WTH ever and your pretty bulletproof. As time and years go by though this doesn't seem to work out well. Good luck on your marathon! I have done several ... and quite a few triathlons, and a couple duathlons. I'm in Ohio, but have some friends a bit north of where your from in Pa (coal country) - a lot of good people there.
