You ever use a drift sock or do you think it scares the fish to much you had mention the gps and problem with spot lock. Just got a kayak earlier this year have not had it out . Have old fish finder wide 90 hummingbird with like a 25 ft cable.. thought about building a square pvc pipe rig to float out the fish finder also same kind of rig and put a GoPro on it. Reason being maybe see the bobber a little better with that kind of view. I am not having isn’t luck with slip bobber and jig I figure I am missing something of course I am going off the bank for now

Never used a drift sock. With Crappie on structure, you can’t drift you need to sit still. I use a 5lb claw anchor.

@BarFlyFishingTexas2 жыл бұрын
If you’re talking about my transducer pole, I wouldn’t recommend it. It’s glorified DIY you can do it with PVC.

Love the video's, you are a dog catching fool! But...saw that Modelo on the table and being a beer connoisseur/home brewer, tried one this evening. My friend I cannot say I fully approve this as a "beer" wasn't terrible but, falls in the Boones farm/two dogs area definitely not aa "real beer" haha. I'm just kidding...mostly. Anyway keep dragging in dogs and I'll keep watching. God bless, have a great day.

What kind of stringer is that? I have been looking for something that I can easily take off my kayak to put fish on it but keep it secure at the same time..

@@BarFlyFishingTexas lol I know it is that’s why I ask lol. I know where to fish everything else there but crappie
@megancurry89712 жыл бұрын
Last summer I thought I would put the crappie in a fish basket while I was kayaking since it was so hot and maybe they would do better instead of being on top of the water on a stringer. Well after I put the first one in I realized it was a bad idea. The fish acted like a drift sock and turned sideways in it. Every paddle I could feel that I was fighting against that fish and no longer will I do that again
@BarFlyFishingTexas2 жыл бұрын
Yep, had to try it out of respect for Anglers Best, but it was not good. Fish did stay healthy though!

watched 18 minute of you catching fish to watch you cook a steak... very disappointing and misleading headline
@BarFlyFishingTexas2 жыл бұрын
Not really. I said I was camping, fishing, cooking. Never said a catch & cook. Those catch and cook videos do very poorly in views. I have several friends with fishing KZbin channels that say the same thing. But I’m taking another trip in 10 days. I’ll be at the coast and I’ll cook up the Redfish at camp! Stick with me!! Sorry for the disappointment. I worked hard on this one.
