Zoe, the old Poole era 4 wheel generic coaches are basic but not bad models. They are more the size of 6 wheelers but are still good considering that there are currently NO RTR 4 wheel coaches available in UK outline in N gauge by ANY manufacturer! So the hens teeth label is pretty accurate as even the old shredded wheat/starter set type with the differentt couplings are starting to go up in value on eBay. They too make good models after a repaint. There is clearly a demand for UK outline 4 wheel coaches so it does make you wonder why no-one makes any RTR ones!

Hi Zoe a nice little collection there, is your N gauge adventure going to be based in any particular era or country? Thanks

I’m planning to build one that’s a fairly generic European seaside town for U.K. and maybe German traffic, plus a separate switching yard style layout for US locomotives. -Zoë
