I like the ‘moss’ color you chose! I don’t like the traditional Xmas green, preferring the more supple shades of moss or sage greens.

It is a nice alternative.

FYI, I have used the very small ones on the IOD mold on top of some of the larger flowers to give a more dimensional look. Works great.

I am making ornaments now using the rosettes mold. What I’m doing is taking two bottoms of soda or beer cans ( they are the domed part of the bottom) and, using aluminium tape, connected them together to make a nice shape. I painted them then once dry, I added the larger rosettes, one to each side. Making a lovely ornament. I haven’t painted them yet but will, finishing with a wax finish. They are looking so nice!

If you enjoy working with clay, try the hearty soft clay! I found it from another KZbinr and it is AMAZING. It is still pliable after it dries, it's super lightweight like a foam almost, and it creates ZERO MESS on your hands and on your molds... Cute ideas ❤ also, put a damp paper towel or baby wipe in the ziplock with your clay, but not touching the actual clay... It'll keep it from drying out and it'll be like brand new everytime!

Hi Marie 💕 These are beautiful holiday decor. The ornaments in the end are my favourite 💕 They look shabby chic and bit victorian.

I've never been interested in the rosette mould, but after seeing you use them I may have to buy myself a Christmas (2023 Better late than never!) gift! I some great inspiration from your video! Thanks! 😊

Marie, you are very talented! That air dry clay wreath! It’s so beautiful! I hope I can make one as amazing; but I will make rosettes tree ornaments for sure. I love your other projects (and Jane Austen) as well. Thank you!

I'm glad to meet another Austen fan. I am trying to read ( or listen to ) all six books. I appreciate your nice comments and encouragement. Have a wonderful weekend.

I love all of these projects and have been keeping my eye on that rosette mould on Amazon (I think). I was wondering what you were going to do with those rosettes and got so involved with your other projects that I totally forgot about them until the end of this video. Great idea, so I guess I'm going to have to break down and buy that rosette mould. I am also thankful for the rusty jingle bell advice. (I know I'm almost a year late watching this video, but 2023 Christmas will be here shortly.)

I do not know if the moulds are on Amazon. I have a link in my video description box where I get them. (I'm not sponsored.) The Iron Orchid Designs ladies like to use small independent sellers. Just search for the rosette moulds. Some sellers should come up. That would be your best bet. Thank you for watching and even though the video is almost a year old, I think Christmas DIYS have longevity through the years. Once again, thanks so much for stopping by my channel!

Love your wreath. I might make one but color the rosettes using one color but lightening & darkening the color on some of the rosettes, giving it more dimension and the look of shadows, if ya know what I mean?

All of them are pretty and unique. If stored in the plastic bag, does the clay stay fresh for a couple of months? I haven't opened my package yet.
@BluebirdHomeAndDIY2 жыл бұрын
It should I believe. I have seen the Iron Orchid sisters recommend even a damp paper towel placed in there with it. I'm new to this myself. The other clay that is from Hobby Lobby I can still use and I have had that a while now. The IOD is new to me. The open end should face the bottom of the plastic bag and be folded to close it.

I wonder, can I use acrylic caulking in these molds? Have you tried before??🤔🤔
@BluebirdHomeAndDIY Жыл бұрын
I have not, so I can't really answer your question. :(
@PNKASMR Жыл бұрын
😂 we've all tried the hot glue on another glue... They cancel each other out when you use two glues on top of one another. If your project does stick, it's only sticking from one of the glues and it's not going to be very well held together...
