There’s so much misinformation here.. my surgeon literally said no vegetables like cauliflower or broccoli this soon because it makes gas (gas expands) and he suggested mashed potatoes (made loose)... and why cant you say potatoes? Also NO SEEDS! What are you telling people?? Chia seeds can get stuck in your sutures..
@aniko71255 жыл бұрын
Aliza Mattrazzo every surgeon is different. My surgeon says the same things that they do , no mashed potato. Beans are on the no list as well. It just depends on the practice. This isn’t an exact science
@alizastaygolden5 жыл бұрын
Kara W no but if there’s such varying differences across the board then something like this that reaches thousands of people in the internet shouldn’t be spreading information they’re not exact on. Especially the seed part, the danger that can cause is insane.

I did check it out, however, it looks like it's a 3-week diet, whereas the Nutracelle lifestyle is a long-term plan geared at people who don't want to risk weight re-gain. I just had surgery on the 14th and I feel hungry alot but I'm always full I also eat liquids and purred food like baby food do you have any advice on when I should eat
@joshborges48677 жыл бұрын
Hi Annie, Our best advice is to make sure that you are always focusing on protein FIRST. This will allow you to feel fuller longer (less hungry), and will provide you with the nutrients your body needs to heal. Also, make sure you are getting all your water in. It's easy to become dehydrated when you are early out from surgery, and sometimes when we think our bodies are telling us we are hungry, we are actually thirsty. Good luck!

@sarahkmorin-garcia34886 жыл бұрын
I'm a little concerned about the promotion of foods like chia seeds, avocados, and canned meats in oils (even if it's olive oil), so soon after having bariatric surgery. The nutritional guidebook given to me (before AND after, they have me 2 for some odd reason) stresses avoiding any foods with seeds, as they can be difficult to digest and also can become lodged in any crevices still healing in your newly formed stomach pouch. And avocados & canned in oil meats can add too much fat into the diet and cause dumping syndrome; believe me, I was experiencing it even BEFORE my surgery on May 3rd, this year, and it's NOT a fun way to spend an hour of your time... stuck on a toilet because your innards want to become "outards."..

Hey Crissy Reyes. I'm so glad you're finding the videos helpful! What a wonderful birthday present to give yourself. Good luck! I see a lot of recipes using cottage cheese. I can't get past the texture of it, could I substitute ricotta cheese or is it too high in fat. I have not had my surgery but just starting the process. I am doing as much research as I can. I have already started weaning myself off caffeine and carbonated drinks.

When can you start eating mixed foods. I'm doing the gastric sleeve in 2 days through Kaiser and we're supposed to eat protein first, then veggies then starch and fruit when can you start making the things in your recipe
@ProteinTreatsKitchen7 жыл бұрын
Hi Spencer, every surgeon is different, but we recommend a minimum of 2 and preferably 4 weeks before attempting solid foods. Start with a week of clear, then progress to full fluids and then soft foods and if everything goes well, introduce solid foods one at a time to make sure you are tolerating them well!

It's a lie that mashed cauliflower tastes like mashed potatoes!!! Cauliflower pancakes do not taste like a real pancakes. Pie crust made from cauliflower is not the same as real pie crust. Riced cauliflower is not going to taste like actual rice. It's all a very rude trick!!! I think we should just admit it is different. Then we can adapt our taste buds to it. I'd rather just pick different foods rather than 'trick' foods.
