A truly mesmerizing watch and a breathtaking example of the nexus of engineering, precision, design and art that draws us all to horology. This one will live long in the memory. The best compliment I can give you for this beautiful video is that it fully befits this incredible watch. Thank you for highlighting this piece, and for all of the obvious hard work that went into doing so. Your channel goes from strength to strength, Adrian!

Not my style of watch, but impressive nonetheless. It makes me happy that they’re keeping the traditional way of making watches alive. I’m a pilot by profession, but I’m a goldsmith as a second profession, so I have experience working on metal with hand tools, as hand made gold smithing is a family tradition, that has been passed down through quite a few generations in my family. Refreshing video.

Nice, not my sort of watch tho, don't care what it costs. However, let me get this right, they made everything except for the spring that is central to the watches mechanism? that actuality makes it function?

The mainspring usually isn't thought to be the central of a watch, the escapement and balance wheel/balance spring are.

Unrelated to this video but I'd really like to hear your thoughts on the new TAG Heuer Monaco 02 (in-house Calibre 02 movement). Should classic watches be given brand-new movements? On that note, do you think watches hit peak design in the 50s/60s? Cheers.
@leyay75405 жыл бұрын
The Monaco already lost its iconic cal. 11. So I don't think this upgrade to cal.02 will decrease its charm at all.

Great Vid Adrian! The watch is gorgeous! The work on the hands look as good as a Breguet. I think though if I was willing to drop that price on a watch I would want the screw slots on the face and on an individual mount piece/part to face the same direction. Just sayin. Maybe I am being too picky, so I won't buy one.

To be honest... I can't appreciate the work put into this. Not that I'm against complete watch making but it seems an exercise is near futility with a price to match. High end finishing on the other hand looks amazing and can't be done by machines yet.... So that makes a lot more sense.
