I have an 850 sport, and i did the same swaping the unmarked fittings ,worked well.

No need to remove windscreen. Just rotate handlebars to one side and there will be enough space for the mirror to come off.

I know. I couldn’t believe that I did that. Ask that effort for nothing, all because I was concentration on getting them both done at the same time and doing the video too. I tell you, making videos sometimes are a right PITA since you not only have to consider what you are doing but you are always thinking about the video as well. 😏

I've just installed them on my 2024 as per Barkbuster's instructions and they fit perfectly. The clamps fit the curve of the bars fine, just need to fit everything up loose first. Trying it the other way, as you described, created problems on the right bar as it restricts the room to adjust the angle of the brake lever.

Glad to hear that it worked out for you on your '24 per the BB instructions directly. I too fitted it up loose and wiggled everything so that they found their natural "set" position. But I had to adjust the clamp parts as in the video. No issues with the knob for the brake lever as my BB backbone is well clear, with the BB backbones aligned with both levers.

Did you use the same part numbers as in the video for your 2024? I have a 2024 RP on order and would like to get some guards ordered.

@@Flaresh My bike is a MY2023 not a 2024. You'd have to check with Barkbusters to confirm fitment on the 2024.

Had a conversation with the folks at Barkbusters. Here is their response to my query about availability for 2024 Tiger RP guards. Seems nobody has them in stock yet. “Unfortunately, due to the unique size of handlebars triumph decided to use on the 2024 Tiger 900 we couldn’t get any of our other hardware to fit. Thus, we had to create a new bike specific hardware kit BHG-120 this kit was made available to order on the 23rd of May 2024.”

Just a heads up for 2024 users because of the 15 degree sweep of the new 2024 bars on the Rally Pro you will require a spacer for the front brake side.

@Rosscofat Not sure what you mean by “15 degree sweep …”. The Media Release from Triumph said that the bars are 15mm closer to the rider. Based on my ride in this bike, I did not notice any change in the handlebars to the extent of 15 degrees. 🤔 Please clarify. Also, spacer where on the right hand side?

If you turned your bars then you wouldn't have had to remove GPS mount or screen to remove mirrors

@@kevinbarlow4930 That too. I was more fixated on investigating the proper fit of the clamp diameter to the bars, as several had complained that the manufacturing was off.

Have you tried later also fitting bark busters bar weights? Those supposed to reduce vibration and a lot of people say it helps (doesn't solve it, but makes it better)

No. I have not had that much issue with the natural vibrations of the bike to consider add-ons such as bar end weights. Longest day ride I’ve done so far was about 250 miles (fully loaded including pillion) and vibrations never even entered my mind. As long as I don’t have issues on longer solo rides I would say I have no issues with vibrations on the 2023.

7:32 you say no Torque specs provided (but the last line says to check the next page), and that other page is visible at 6:35 where it tells torque based on what screw it is.

All fasteners have a torque to which it can be applied before it starts to yield. That value varies also based on lubrication between the fastener and the material to which it is applied. Having torques listed based on fastener size is not the same as torques specified based on engineered clamping requirements, hence my ignoring them and applying my own “calibrated wrist” torque. 🙂

I kinda assumed that the same size screw must be going into the same material, thus the torque was based on size. But I also see your point that it's a bit more tricky than that.

Totally agree about ugliness of Barkbusters and how the advertisement is too ridiculous.
