One of the few ads I’ve watched all the way through. Fascinating. Skilled craftsmen at work.

Amazing shoes. My last pair lasted 14 years. Just bought a pair of monk strap ones today. Can’t wait to wear them.

I bought a pair of Barkers loafers from Lester Bowden's in Epsom thirty years ago nearly.I dug them out recently and my partner took them to be resoled and heeled. They returned with the shape deformed around the 'last'?They looked like moccasins. The style of loafer is no longer available.A list of certified reparir shop's would be handy.Old shoes well maintained are like old cars, you shared the mileage of your memories together and become a visual statement of your personality.Especially irking as a gift from a friend too.The 'cobbler/keycutter,home alarm expert' of today not the place for 'getting a pair of shoes mended' without destroying the aesthetic.Sorry about rant,i loved those shoes, now they look like theyve been disfigured and charged half of original shoe price for privelidge.
