To avoid that type of cracking every once in a while, it is good to loosen the exhaust bolts header back and then tight them back up starting from the header to the muffler. This can happen to any exhaust. Hyoed to see some more drz content dude. Made me want to go for a ride.

I talked to Dave (the owner at Barkers) and he suggested I do a 1x3 instead of a 3x3. I was hoping to get your opinion on this because you’re who I look to for advice for my ‘24 Drz400sm and I don’t have any friends 🤷♂️ I ordered a black pipe with blue label and blue tip. Thanks for your videos!! This video convinced me to go Barkers instead of anything else. I’ll make it my profile pic after the pipe gets put on next month. I got a jet kit and a k&n filter as well. Thanks again for all of the time and attention to detail you put in your awesome videos!
@linksgarage19857 ай бұрын
Thanks man! Well I’m sure he knows his stuff! Ha. A 1x3 would essentially be just removing the snorkel. That near the size of the opening with no cutting. SoCal Supermoto sets his bikes up this way also. You could start there. Kind of hard to put material back once you remove it. You could start with the snorkel removed. And if you need more air, open it up. 💪🏼

@@GODSWORD11 I’d wait until 600 miles to do the oil. I did my keg kit and exhaust at like 300 miles. That was in 2022. Bought it with .4 miles. Got over 7k now. It worked for me. But you gotta do that stuff at your own risk. ⚠️

I have been thinking about changing out the exhaust in my DRZ400s, but I would only do it for performance improvements and fitment with my skid plates/radiator guards as I spend 90% of my time off road on trails. So I wonder if that Barkers header would fit under my protection?
@linksgarage198510 ай бұрын
I believe it would. I have rad guards. And it doesn’t interfere. And the way the head pipe comes out up high, it would probably clear guards.
