What would you do without the wheel-loader? What a help that is. I had a thought. Are you recording the progress as you tear down, build, add. Some day you'll look back on this project and think - "how did we do all that?" And Nox has the most beautiful smile. What a joy she must be to you both! . Simon, your hedge fence is a masterpiece. So much work, so much progress. It’s amazing you managed to get that huge concrete box out of the barn in one piece, I was sure the tires on the wheel loader were going to explode. The buildings certainly were built much more sturdy back then, they really built things to last, unlike modern construction. The dry hedge is looking lovely. A great start to the new year your busy family.

I didn't realize how massive the barn was....definitely built to last! The stone wall is beautiful and the beams just look so heavy. Are the beams oak or maybe your dad knows, Simon. The loader was right at it's limit I would say, great job getting it done with no damage. A hot tub in a secluded place sounds like a wonderful idea for it. I can sympathize with old wood=hard wood. My 1884 apartment has its original door moldings. The wood is like iron & even drilling a hole is an adventure. Hi I have to admit, I always catch my breath a little when you happily remove beams from the building structure. But I assume that you have already looked at the static conditions beforehand and of course know what you are doing. 😅 Little Nox's smile is really sweet and she looks really cute in her little bear romper. I can understand Simon's passion for dry hedges. Unfortunately, I don't have enough space. Gelukkig nieuwjaar mannen! Ik wens jullie met jullie dochter een gezond en succesvol 2025. Fijn om jullie weer te zien. Vorige week was ik druk, heb jullie filmpje wel gezien, maar nu heb ik weer tijd voor een berichtje. Gelukkig geen ontmoeting meer gehad met de monster-marmot? Wat een griezelig groot beest was dat!!! Prachtig die natuurlijke heg; inderdaad op naar de kilometer Simon, hahaha. Alle buren om snoeihout vragen de komende tien jaar. Leuk om te zien hoe Archie en Luna jullie werk superviseren. Gezellig dat ze bij jullie in de buurt zijn tijdens het klussen. Wat een beesten-klus weer, die schuren leegmaken en deels afbreken. Opbouwen is leuk maar afbreken stiekem ook wel denk ik. En wat slim om de graafmachine als hoogwerker te gebruiken; plank erop en Bram kan mee omhoog. Succes weer komende week en graag tot ziens volgende keer. Groetjes uit Zeewolde.
