this is exactly what I was looking for! we have a weird window nook in our new bedroom and it was too short for a curtain. But I HAVE to cover it because my husband works night shift. So I can up with the idea on Pinterest and ya'lls video will help my husband build it! thank you!

I like this. We made some for one of our windows. Look pretty similar to yours. I should have used shiplap as well. The boards I used have shrunk a bit and left small gaps in the shutters. Also, I like the Rigid miter saw. I've had mine for close to 20 years. But mine isn't a sliding saw. Wish I had that feature.

And I think I've had my Kreg Jig for about 15 years. It has had so much use.

Thanks! It works out great so far. The Ridgid miter works, but also big and takes a lot of space. I think I'd rather have the short back profile saws to put against a wall in a bench system, though not sure if the slide would be as long; that feature has come in handy more times than I can remember.

So great, thank you for sharing, saw these on "fixer upper" and would love to have in our home, pricing might be nice to know just so we can compare to curtain window treatments. Thank you!!

Glad you like them! I should have included pricing, except the prices change online all the time and your dimensions will vary. The rails just came from Amazon, so that is a quick price check, then some math on the wood, plus staining supplies. I'm guessing ours were about $150 tops. Probably closer to $100. Sorry to be so vague, but hope that helps. Thanks for subscribing!

They look great. I have an opening between rooms and would like to do this. Do the doors hang straight down or do they want to hang toward the wall?
@KylersStudio2 жыл бұрын
We mounted the brackets on the door backwards with some felt on the bolts so they wouldn't freely slide unless you tip them out slightly. Otherwise, they would freely hang straight down as long as your door is balanced.

Hey can you provide the link to the Sliding Brackets please.
