Trucks are shinny only when they are new this is the way a 1939 pickup should look like and that stitching on the fender gives the truck it character very well done and the next time some one ask about the paint just say the color you paint your nails lol nice truck bro

Own the same1939 for a restoration.... decided to go all original drive train for the experience. Only upgrades are a steering dampener, duel master cyl. and a Mitchel 26% 2 sp. overdrive

Love it. That stitched fender is really cool. I'm a Chevy guy but Ford in a Ford is cool. I have a '41 Ford p/u and to keep the orig transverse front spring I went SBC. Mine is orig patina also. Show more videos..btw love the "Fordy" Merc!

I like the truck though even if I’m a Chevy guy ( Big Respect) , when I was seeing that it’s missing some Bullet Lights ( Fog Lights) by where the mirrors are AND if you would like to Add one to where the Cop in the back Window is So it can show it at Night. Well those are my thoughts or ideas for your Beautiful Truck.

Love that Pedal Car! Cool Truck as well... 38-41 are my fave Ford years... well up until the Fairlanes, Falcons and Glaxies... Mustangs weren't too bad but I actually like a 39 Ford more... way more lol Like to put a 427 side oiler Aluminum Shelby block in one with the gusets up top, the extra bolts like and LS motor down around the crank and.. you get the idea... 600 horse naturally aspirated... but if you want to super charge it or Turbo or both.... Those looks but with the POWAH!! lol Love your car though man... you've done a nice job with it :-))

Nice truck, so glad to see a ford in a ford, i cant stand when people put chevy motors in a ford, I have my dads 1948 ford f1 fully restored totally enjoy it , it has a 302 windsor, c4 trans, mustang 2 clip, i did not build it to compete but do have my share of trophies.

Do they make rims that will fit on a 5.5 wheel hub that a hub cap off a 39 will fit? I'm building a 39 f100 with newer drive line I want to keep the original look

To each his own. I dont like the fact that the body is dented up and rust. I think that a truck this nice needs to have the metal work restored. I understand the look hes going for but you can still achieve that and have a nice body.

@@GenerationOldschool Hey, thanks for the reply. I will still continue to watch the videos, but it isn't much fun when you have to turn the sound off. The late 30's and early 40's ford's are my favorite. Definitely a Ford guy myself, I own 10 vehicles currently all ford's and always looking for room for more. Sadly a 40 ford pickup is extremely rare up in Canada where I'm from, I've never even seen one here, but I still keep hoping!
