What size bobbins do these machines take? I'm reading they take an L? How high does the foot lift? I found a 267 for sale and want to confirm some things before I buy it.

I was considering buying a heavy duty machine to do canvas work for a sailboat and cushions etc. Two questions . I was wondering if the vintage Singer hand crank machines would be an option?. 2nd Sailrite has a machine they sell for sailboat work. I looked up and they have Chinese made machines that look the same. Was wondering if the Sailrite machine was just one of those with their logo on it. The Chinese version is half price. Thank you.

I haven't had any Sailrite machines I agree with you THE OLD ONES all look alike with different name brand. Sailrite has a new machine that looks very good to me from pictures I have seen it's called a fabricator.
