Love the videos! Just picked up my first skis ever this past summer. I have a 95 sxi and an 87 300sx for my 10 year old son. They need some love but we are excited to be part of the Jetski world!

I've had my '95 750SXi since about 2010 and it's been a great boat. Bought from the original owner, who left it mostly stock and did some IJSBA racing (has the sanctioning body stickers and number on side). I did a race with it in Nashville and it was super fun. Only time it failed me is when the oil injection supply line broke off while I was riding. I knew I should've converted to premix. If anybody is reading this that has one of these, don't leave the oil injection on it! I swapped another used engine in mine so it's all good but I knew better than to keep using that oil injection setup. Otherwise, it's never let me down.

ive seen many skis like this...I am surprised you dont try breaking them loose! Usually its the pump thats locked up! But even if its the engine...a lil oil in the plug holes, a pipe wrench on the coupler (what yer tryin to spin) and boom, a running ski!
@watercrafttalk2738 Жыл бұрын
Thank you for watching. "IF" an engine is rusted, or sized it needs a full rebuild. NO amount of oil will fix that. Even if you do break it loose, and get it running again, it is just a short time until it will let go completely ruining other engine parts.

@@watercrafttalk2738 Agreed! esp. for you with a rep. in the business you need to keep up, but avg old me I get them cranked and ride em, always get at least 1 season out of them. I love it when I buy a ski "locked up" for cheap, and be riding it 2 hours later.

Watching this great video in Jan 23, what’s the scoop on these skis? Really want to see what happens to the superjet. Maybe for some inspiration, as you are now helping me build mine. Appreciate all your help, John

Thanks for watching Troy. These skis are currently in storage. Busy with customer builds currently. "Hope" to get to these someday....

I'm not so sure I like the "serrated knife" edge on the ride plate. These would be some great winter projects. Wearing shorts in the video and being in Wisconsin -- when was this recorded?

The Ocean Pro "Ocean" plate was NOT race legal because of the grooves on the bottom. I sure grips in the corners though.

Hi John. Just curious why you said the ‘95 was the worst port timing.
@watercrafttalk2738 Жыл бұрын
Thank you for watching. The 95 Sxi cly has the tallest port timing. Kawasaki was trying to get high speed #'s with the Sxi, making it kind of a "turd" on the bottom end for power. Typically stand up riders WANT bottom end bower for blipping the throttle, jumping waves, etc. "Most" do not just ride around pinned at WOT all the time....
@jcbenson01 Жыл бұрын
@@watercrafttalk2738 good to know. I had two sxi’s. And they both had silver no stamps cylinders with the low port timing. Apparently neither were the factory engine. Which makes sense now that I think of it since they were sxi but had single carbs.
@watercrafttalk2738 Жыл бұрын
@@jcbenson01 Silver no stamp was a 92 small pin cyl.

Hello Andy, thank you for watching. The Kawi 750n was sold locally as is. I started to build the SJ, but got busy here, and it has been put off for now. I hope to do a build video if/when I finish the ski
