Same owner as Nomad video:
Another Barn/Garage find on a Super rare, Desirable and Specially optioned Chevrolet Classic. This owner has had in his possession for over 30+ years and restored back in the 80’s. I have personally ridden in this thing and it is Nasty ! 400hp + in a light weight body was very impressive. Get past the dirt and you’ll see a diamond that’s not rough !!!

That car needs to be brought back to life. Not only that, it needs to be driven occasionally. Letting them sit like that is the second worse thing you can do to a classic like that. Super nice car!

My dad had one of these exact cars his was midnight blue black interior 427 tri Power carbs. One of the first AC Delco electronic ignitions. No points. Rated from the factory at 435 hp 1101 compression it was a beast. Had to sell it when I was 16 years old because of my mom and him getting a divorce he had to pay her lawyers fees.😞 thanks for showing brought back some fond memories. I’m 60 years old now my dad‘s been gone for over 30 years. Lost him because of cancer. But I remember the good times we both had in the car riding around in it most of all.

Mine was a red roadster, and it also had the bolt-on hardtop for winter weather. Also, my engine was the solid lifter cam version with 11.1 to 1 compression, and the rectangular port heads (435hp) and the knock-off wheel package. I sold it in late 1969. The owner passed away, and his son has the car, and now it's completely disassembled for a restoration project. Meanwhile, he's lost interest and everything is just sitting in boxes, but he won't sell. Two friends, and myself continue to "hover over him" like buzzards, waiting for him to change his mind.

I can't believe they restored it and didn't bother to put a car cover on it when they stored it. Even without the top of the line engine, that's over a hundred thousand dollar car... just sitting around getting dusty and having cats crawl on it. If it had the 435hp 427, it'd easily go for 200 grand or more, and if it had the L88, only 20 built in '67, the most recent ones sold for over 300 grand, and would probably bring half a million today.

Yea, life is funny sometimes. We desire, we search for, we find, we restore, we get to drive and enjoy… then life gets in the way. We put up to preserve. Then comes along mother nature who has a fight with materials like paint, chrome, plastics, rubber and leather. Its unfortunate but in even the best conditions…. She’s set on trying to take them back. Its a vicious cycle. Aint life grand !

'67s with rectangular port heads , a solid lifter cam and tri power were rated at 435 hp . The L88s were rated at 430 hp , but put out 550 hp . Rect. port heads and solid lifters with a Holley four barrel carb. gave you 425 hp . This 40 hp. version has oval port heads , a hydraulic lifter cam and the tri power intake , the 390 hp. version was the same as the 400 hp. version except it swapped out the three carbs for one four barrel . Lock me up I had a 67 427/435 back in 1969. Paid 3400 bucks. She had 9000 miles on it. I put on a quick 10.000 miles and got drafted. She would bury both needles . Quickly. JEE, I was 19 years old. Now my base 2011 Corvette will run away and hide from my lost true love. I DO have pictures and memories. oh well, i had fun.

No but what you were saying just like everybody else thinks about their vehicle because of Barrett-Jackson everybody thinks that their car is a high value car yes this car is very nice looking it is probably worth $100,000 but if you took it to Barrett Jackson you're looking at a half a million to a million dollar car sitting there if not more all matching numbers not a problem 1.5 million

I thought I was speed racer, 18 years old, I had a 1967 Malibu 327 , cam, intake, headers, 411 rear grears. Each day going to work, I would have to hit 120 mph , on a open stretch, This is the story. Little did I know, three houses down lived an old man, he stopped me, and I thought I was in Big trouble. He said, you like going fast, I said yes sir , we talked, he was an old racer. He said son I'm alone, no family, wife, or friends, he took me to his old falling down garage, there it was 1958 Corvette race car B/MP , he sold me the car for 1500 dollars. I drove it on the street, time marches on.

@onjunk4life
@onjunk4life Жыл бұрын
Yea, the 63 was the only split window. Actually back in the day many owners eliminated the split as it hindered the view or dated the car as all the new mid year models going forward didn’t have the split. Now they are highly sought after mainly due to the uniqueness…. Go figure 👍👍🏾

@homeinthewhiteoaks
@homeinthewhiteoaks Жыл бұрын
@@onjunk4life Well that makes some sense as the solid lifters cars would not have had an AC option, so they may have done standard lifters if you got an AC. I have only seen 4 barrel ac cars. So you may be right.
