Keep the birds Happy! You will regret not having them around is you run them off.. Trust me I know. I accidentally did that. I close the barn for winter, got sick and wasn't able to open it in the spring. they went somewhere else and I was left with flies and mosquitoes all summer. Give them a home in the barn until they move to the New condo... Just in case. Cheers

Definitely. I'm not convinced yet that this is going to work, so the barn stays open for another season.

The shelter you made doesn't have the privacy for these birds to feel safe. The log house has many joists where the birds can separate and find private areas to nest. I make my own little shelter boxes and separate them 5 feet apart. They can't look back and forth and see each other and they don't want to be in plain view of crows. Privacy is the secret to being successful.
