Jeff you are SPOT on. So many times I get steelbooks that are broken at the seam, discs that are loose, slips that were crunched from a stupid spider wire protector and releases that were basically kicked to my front door from wherever. Let me pick and choose, otherwise why even have a physical store? They don't understand that collectors like us are what still keeps them in business.

I’ve never had the issues with Barnes & Noble that you’re having, Jeff. Maybe Indianapolis is different from other cities, but even though physical media is less popular here when I go to places like Target and Walmart, but somehow Barnes & Noble seems to be the exception in regards to movies availability around here.

I understand your pain man. It’s not just Barnes & Noble but specifically the one in Lynchburg VA. They almost never have anything in stock or anything in 4K. I wanted to ask them if they have the 4K of Perfect Days but after this video I don’t think I will. I’ll go to Roanoke or something from now on. It’s a drive for sure but they have a bigger selection and the employees are way nicer. I’m going to try and stop by there before the month is over.

There are certainly people who work at B and N that are having a no good sorry day // I have met some friendly workers and some not great workers / a crap shoot when it comes to consistency in help. B and N system of ordering online and count of inventory in store is not great. Thankfully I have several stores within an hour of my house to choose from. I believe you when you say that your experience with help at B and N was extremely awful.

I with you! I prefer to pick out my own copy for the exact reasons you mention. What a bunch of a lazy ass employees. Just out the movies on a cart & push the cart out to let us customers go through it. Hell I’d even put them on the shelf for them!

Good video! It has been awhile since I have been in Barnes & Noble. I have been meaning to check out that sale that is going on now! Maybe, I better not! That sure is bad customer service you are getting from your Barnes and Noble place! I can see how your are frustrated with this!

I've worked in retail since 1988 and every boss I've ever had has gotten to one point in due time.... Inventory does not sell if the customers can't see it locked up in the back room. The item's in the back need to not be in the back for long. EVERY boss ever!!! I totally understand and have had the same conversation with people at big box stores. Everything you said makes perfect sense

Customer Service is bad at brick & mortar stores for physical media, because simply no one that works there cares about physical media anymore, period! Most places I go to like Walmart or Target or Barnes & Noble, there's no one in there buying alot of movies or music. When I pick up a new release there may be one other person getting a new release, that's about it. I don't even ask about them about stocking a new release, because it's always WE HAVEN'T HAD THE TIME or TRY BACK IN A FEW DAYS. It gets to the point, where it's more irritating talking to them than walking out with nothing! Orders online SUCK! I hate ordering online!!! 70 percent of it is a hassle! Dents, scratches, folds or broken! Barnes & Noble workers are clowns! They know shit about music or movies. I've asked them for a new release CD, and they're like I doubt we have it because I don't know who they are???? And who the F do you know? Celine Dion? Andre Bocelli? Lmao I listen to metal, so they're like WTF is that artist! So now I'm supposed to give a shit about their taste in music now? I am asking if you have it in stock NOT IF YOU HEARD OF THEM!!!! Total shit! They won't even walk in back to check if they have it on site! Lazy!!! Clueless pricks!
