Barnett Tool & Engineering's Coil Spring Conversion Kits convert those tough to pull diaphragm springs to six coil springs. By doing this, not only does it make your clutch lever much easier to pull, but also allows a more positive controllable engagement.
These kits are CNC machined here in our facility in Ventura California and no modifications are required. It is a simple bolt-on installation.

CAUTION ! When using this conversion kit you MUST retain the original pressure plate and diaphragm spring. You will need them to remove the Clutch Hub Mainshaft Nut (which has left hand threads) You must remove this nut to remove the primary chain.

Im fairly sure it will, but does this work with the rekluse extra disk torque drive clutch pack? Stock basket and spring just has the rekluse clutch pack and hold down ring. Thanks in advance

No, it will not work with Rekluse.

If it's a stock type clutch it may work. If it has the thick piece in it (auto clutch) then it won't work. We don't test with their products so we cannot say 100% for sure either way.

my 13 street glide has bigger cams adj.rods....would that call for heavier sprigs[green]?

it depends on how much power you putting out. You might want to try using a combination of the lighter springs and the green springs to keep the lever as light as possible. If that isn't enough pressure, go with all six green springs. You can call us at 805-642-9435 with any tech questions.

The stock clutch uses 10 frictions and 9 steel plates (Barnett kit #303-30-10019) and our extra plate kit (Barnett kit #304-30-10020) includes 11 frictions and 10 steels. Both of these kits also include a set of 3 heavy duty replacement springs.

Can I use the c90 boulevard clutch kit on the c109r? I can’t seem to find any good aftermarket heavy duty or performance clutch kits for the c109r specifically. So I’m wondering if I can use one from another bike that would match up like a m109 or c 90 etc.? Additionally does Barnett make a scorpion for the 08 c109r?

NO, the C109R clutch is unique and nothing like other typical manual motorcycle clutches regardless of brand. Basically, the plates that would typically be bare metal have friction material and the plates that would typically have friction material on them. We don't these plates and I don't believe anybody does other than Suzuki. We do, however, make a set of heavy duty springs that should help. The part number is 501-58-06092 ($30.50) and you can order them at barnettclutches.com. The Scorpion clutches are only made for Harley Davidson models.

My 99 roadstar 1600 came with this conversion kit, I need to replace my clutch disks, is this kit reusable or do I need to buy a new one? Thanks

Road Star uses our 511-90-10002 spring conversion kit. There is no need to replace it unless it has been damaged somehow. Our replacement clutch plate kit (frictions/steels) is #306-90-20083.

On my 15 RGS, HD dealership installed my Barnett scorpion kit with basket, , I have the rolling sands derby cover that I can see the scorpion clutch plate and the springs are the gold ones I never was aware that it comes with the extra set of black springs for the heavier, HD did not give me back the box manual or any extras or stickers that came with the purchase of the Barnett clutch, now I have the screaming eagle 110 tire shredder kit installed in the bike same dealership producing 123 horsepower 123 torque to the rear, when riding aggressively I'll shift at 5000 RPM and the clutch would slip recommendations

There are three sets of springs that come with the Scorpion clutches to provide a variety or pressure options. They might have just put the lightest springs in it, but they should have given you everything you paid for. Give us a call at 805-642-9435 and we can set you up with some stiffer springs.

What IF I have too much Free play in clutch lever, when adjusting cable I have run out of threads to get rid of slack. My cable is maybe 1.5 years old from Burly Brand , and Your clutch basket # 608-30-10011 maybe has 3K miles on it. Am I supposed to adjust anything on maybe springs after so many miles being new ?

Loosen it all the way at the cable midway adjuster, then adjust it at the clutch per factory specs. Once you have it adjusted at the clutch, then adjust your cable to the proper free play. You can also contact Chance at [e-mail].

I was attempting to install the extra plate kit to replace the SE plate currently installed. This is on a 2016 HD Streetglide that has a hydraulic clutch. I was also installing the spring conversion kit. The HD extra plate kit doesn’t require use of the dampening seat and springs that go in first. The instructions for my kit shows the I need the two thin dampening springs. Is this correct. I got everything installed and my lever had no pressure. I could see the movement when engaging the clutch but it didn’t feel right. I removed it all put the stock stuff back in and it works fine. Any suggestion?

Barnett Clutches and Cables I reinstalled everything as the directions show with the exception of the stock damper Seat and spring. The instruction say use these? Is this correct? Installed clutch plate with the larger diameter first, them a steel and plate till all were installed. I finished up with a clutch plate. I used all the same springs, ensured the pressure plate was flush and tighten the springs down equally. Started out with Lucas primary oil, had the sound; drained the fluid and went with ATF still the same result. I had previously bled my clutch so I’m good there. Any suggestions

Chance thanks for your support, I reviewed all my documentation and instructions. The spring kit I ordered was not the extra plate kit. I ordered part number 306-30-20018, not 307-30-20013. This was for a 2016 HD Streetglide Special. Looks like I can still use then kit but need to purchase the stock harley damper seat and spring. Sorry for the confusion and thanks again.

I installed the carbon fiber extra plate kit, 307-30-20013, in my 02 FLSTFI with the coil spring conversion kit (mixed the provided spring colors 3 & 3) Now, occasionally off a stop it will try to engage very harsh and exhibits a squawking noise... would this be cured by switching to a Dexron III ATF vs the redline v twin primary fluid im using? This same kit in mine buddies 02 Nightrain with heavy duty diaphram spring worked out awesome with no noise or harsh engagement. Just great grab and go!

Call Chance at 805-642-9435. When it comes to ATF, the Dexron provides a smoother engagement than Type F so if you go with ATF, go with the Dexron. But, the Redline oil is very good and we've had good results with it so again, you might want to call Chance for tech assistance.

I have the exact same issue going on...have adjusted the push rod 2 different times and still get that occasional harsh engagement and it's scary as crap. What did you find to fix the issue?

@@robw5874 it is scary… the thing just wants to go. I havnt done anything with it yet. Sad to say, I havnt ridden since last August. My next step was gonna be to dump the Redline Primary oil and refill with Dexron. My thought is the friction modifier package in the redline may just be too much. Let me know if you try anything and get results.

It depends on your riding style. They are both great options. It also depends on the feel you like. The carbon fiber is much more grabby and works better the hotter it gets.
