Heartbreaking to watch but ever so grateful for all that you do . I can’t imagine the suffering these beautiful souls have gone through but thank goodness they were able to be caught and now in your care. If only they could talk and speak up for themselves. Thankyou over and over again Dee and Don and team. Amazing team work to get them up and out. To see their tails so tucked in tells the horrifying story of them . Looking forward to following their journey onwards and upwards. 🐾🐾💕 ❤

Oh Dee! I can't even imagine the level of fear these two dogs must have to make them lose control of their bowels and bladder. You and your team are so wonderful and patient. Sending lots of love to Barney and Loki.

Watching an absolutely terrified dog fearing anything and everything, obviously mainly human beings, is the hardest thing to do. I thought I had seen abject fear in Faith and Hope, the two boxers adopted by Sam and Luke. They also refused to walk but they showed no aggression. It is impossible to imagine what Barney and Loki must have endured to get to this state. One feels humbled by your dedication, patience and dogged determination. I wish donations will flow in to help your finances. Via PayPal I sent something with much love for these two abused dogs. Thank you, for what you are doing ❤

What an inspired moment that was - about the shopping bags! It looks to be a very good way to solve a big problen!
@sue-annehenderson27502 күн бұрын
Dee, you are amazing. What a great idea. SO creative. The bags look to need some sideways strength to stop them collapsing. Maybe a cord sewn along the outside, horizontaly, as it will not hurt the dogs but give strength to the "bags". . I'm no seamstress, but maybe your wonderful sewing person will understand and be able to do this. You, and the team, are so patient and caring with 2 dogs who are so shut down and sacred. Even my dog came and was listening and had a concerned look on his face, while Loki and Barney didn't bark but the other dogs did. This is so wonderful with the dogs' change. One amazing step at a time.

Dee. The shopping bag idea was brilliant! I wish I had thought of it several years ago when my 65kg Doberdane tore his knee ligaments and was unable to get up. I will remember though and will pass on the information to any I feel might benefit from it.

All I can say is you can see they are making progress. That has to be back breaking doing that, not to mention heart breaking. Thanks so much for caring about them so much Dee and crew. Great idea to use shopping bags never would have thought of that. How on earth did they get that fearful. I have literally never seen dogs that terrified in my life. i wonder if they would feel calmer with another dog walking with them? You only have so many hands but maybe when it's not such a struggle... Now they are not skin and bone any more I can see they look to be mostly Greyhound imo and they are usually such calm and accepting doggos. Then maybe Great Dane because of the colouring on Loki. Never had a GD so don't know anything about them, temperament wise. When our Rhodesian Ridgeback, Mastiff, Lab mix (about 60 kgs) was in his last few days of life and could just walk, but could no longer get up on his feet we had a device. It's a thick belt about 30-40 cms wide. That goes around a persons waist in hospitals/nursing homes. It's used for helping people walk when they are unsteady on their feet. To stop them falling.... It was well padded and had handles made out of webbing and sewn on all around the outside. It did up with thick webbing like a seatbelt and one of those huge catches. Like what most dog collars have, to do them up, but much bigger. They might be called "gate belts" I think. I'd put it around the underside of his chest belly area, behind his front legs and slowly and gently pull him forward and up on his feet. That would be perfect for this use and wasn't so slippery. Again guys we can see progress, so hope you feel encouraged after all that blood sweat and tears and poop and skin. Thanks so much again for being as determined as they both are that you are going to help them......
