What I really marvel at with this display is how they toned the South Park kids down for a family-friendly audience yet they still feel like the characters we know and love. Had they done it with less thought, they'd be completely neutered shells of their usual selves.

A family friendly South Park show sounds terrible. Could it still funny? Of course, but it wouldn't be able to critique society as freely nor be able to push boundaries and that's a huge part of what makes South Park so special.
