It felt like they were supposed to get season 10 but halfway through s9 shooting they got the information that it need to end there. The whole season was about barney and robin's marriage and then they got divorced at the last hour of the show. I mean come on the last too episodes were to big of a time skip and it made it feel meaningless. The ending would make a total sense if it would happen after season 2 or 3 when robin and ted were a thing. But because barney and robin became the endgame it felt unresonable to divorce them.

@@bakuza6191 Taxes for the Price is Right are determined based off the California tax (where the show is filmed), and the taxes for game shows are pretty high. You have the option to decline prizes you don't want or can't afford to pay the taxes on, but can't get any replacement for them.

Barney was amazing character they did him so wrong at the end showcasing him as a lame dude just chasing after women. He was such a mind blowing character with so many amazing moments of perseverance, romance, bromance, friendship, excellence, mystery, focus, dedication, commitment.... he came through for all n ways n beyond n they did him wrong !!! Mostly not even including him in future projections of growing old

The fact that he ended up alone and has to spend the rest of his life protecting his daughter from jerks like him used to he is a perfect ending for him.

Barney truly did love his friends. The guy went above and beyond for them. He flew to CA to talk Lilly into coming home when her and Marshall were broken up. He even tried to keep Marshall from dating again (even though he pretended to help them). He got his by a bus trying to get to Ted when Ted was in the hospital. He was going to marry Robin to keep her here and then ended up taking it upon himself to help her find a job to stay in the states. Barney in my book was very underappreciated as a character.

One thing it took them a while to catch on to us that Barney actually has a heart of gold. He gave every prize to Lily and Marshal as wedding gifts. Sure, he’s rich and can get all that for himself, easily, but let’s not forget that no one loves free stuff more than rich people. And he could have traded those gifts for favors, to scam on some girl, he could have used them to his advantage in some way. But he gave them to his friends. Because he loves them. Genuinely and fully.

So much happens in that last 10 seconds. Barney is as happy as he could be, acing the showcase and impressing his dad. But he decides in that second that it’s not right to steal the spotlight, and then for a second isn’t sure what he’s going to say. But then, of course he knows what he’s going to say. Well, you're not wrong. Without Barney, Robin would have been deported, Marshall and Lily would still be broken up and miserable, Ted wouldn't have built his building and probably wouldn't have met the mother. But Barney had them as friends, and I think this is just as important (specially to him).

They actually did a few years ago to a couple who watch The Price is Right religiously and when they finally got out there the husband did really good with everything and won all the stuff because he watched the show religiously and knew the prices of all the things. After that Price is Right change their formula and try not to show products over and over again.
