That's pretty cool. I think I remember seeing that crane at the Raider's stadium project along with two massive Liebherrs. There is another Demag CC8800 luffing jib at the Sphere project in Las Vegas as we speak. To put it in perspective, the CC8800 luffing jib stands at 580 feet. That's 13 feet taller than the crane that built Miller Park. Big Blue which was 567 feet.

Definitely a big crane. I seen it when it was and the Las Vegas Raiders stadium job. Don't realize how big that machine is until your up next to it.

just to give an idea of how big this thing is without a person next to it, the height of the crawler track is 2.8m or over 9ft!

I think you are the right person to ask, Liebherr LTM 1090-4.2 or Liebherr LTM 1050-3.1. would you recommend starting with as the first model ?

I actually do not have either one, I have a 1090 on hold but haven't had the money to pay it yet. They both look very nice, and either one would be a great starter crane. 1050s are going to be getting harder to find soon, so if you really like it, I'd get the 1050 first and a 1090 later as they are alot newer.

That's a great question. I too have a decent size collection or collections of several O scale trains, 1/50 scale diecast models and several cranes. I'll have to ask my insurance provider to see. Thanks for bringing up the question Gus. And Brandon, awesome video of the CC8800, love the collection you have also. Keep up the great work and videos.

I don't know where else to send this to you but I found the video made by one of the riggers for the Manitowoc 21,000 at plant Scherer in Juliette Ga. Video says it was 2002 I believe but it may have been set up there originally in 2002 but it was filmed late 2011 early to mid 2012. kzbin.info/www/bejne/jJmtZZaImsydbrM
