As someone who originally became a fan of their sludgy origins, the thing about Baroness that always impressed me the most is that while most bands shift genres to sell out, it really felt like they were breaking out instead. Like they had incredible songwriting ideas that just couldn't be confined to one sub-genre of metal, or even necessarily metal at all. One of the extremely rare cases where I love every era, and that doesn't seem to be changing anytime soon.
@ThePowerman121 Жыл бұрын
John said in an interview fairly recently something about wanting to turn over those stones that haven't been turned over yet. Some may work and some may not. I like the idea that they are really trying to branch out and try new things. Things that haven't been done yet or aren't done often.

That fucking guitar at 2:49 reminds me of having a guitar for two years and feeling like my stupid rig is garbage and it is holding me back and if i could just afford better gear then I would rule... and then some random dude picks up my guitar plugged into my amp, with my cord and just levels my concepts of greatness. This is nostalgic in the absolute best way. So fucking good. One of a kind!
