I think I played this on the PS2; maybe a remake? Because I remembered the game was in 3rd Person. The concept of a rogue-like was pretty rare back then so I hated it. The idea of progressing so much and then poof! everything is gone once you die wasnt that enticing to be honest. Eventhough I did realised something did changed in my subsequent run but it was devastating to restart back to the begining.

Not really an inferior versión Since it includes what we would call nowdays as "DLC" adding a bunch of stuff. Most complainers point specifically at "thing thing" saying that it kills most of the Roguelike aspects Since it allows You to save some ítems For future runs. Think of those complainers as the same people who complain that Elden ring should be harder, only to complain when it actually gets harder. That said, soundwise and texturewise, it is a bit inferior, but a fair trade For the extra content.
