When I was playing with my friends in a group of 4, one of my friends kept saying "holy shit this soundtrack is so cool" and I didn't pay attention to it, I was so focused repairing the ship, reloading guns and doing all kind of stuff to keep us alive as a Security assistant, eventually all of us went through this gaming flow and we got so motivated to finish the game whilst our ship and electronics kept being f*cked by guardians. Truly a masterpiece ending with awesome soundtrack.

Played through the whole ending with a group of 20-ish randoms, only to realize after that I had my music turned off. It took us 7 days to get there and 15 of us nearly died when we were checking out the first pylon and someone threw a grenade at it.

This really does feel like the epiphany of you and your crew where they realize that, even though they are not coming back home, they are at least changing something for the better good. Like, all of this time, you all were anxious and fearful of the ocean, afraid of the unknown. But this time, your submarine is the single most important thing in helping an almost fully irriadiated moon thrive and live. At 4:50, it's as if the crew was on the verge of dying, but they have stood on their feet one last time, the submarine sprining back to life one last time, and delivering oblivion through nuclear shells and coilgun fire to YOH-WEH, finally freeing the Ancients from their eternal prison. Everyone understands their role in their submarine, all of those dead fellow crewmates, all of those failed expeditions, all of those tears and laughs, all of those times hope and duct tape was all that was keeping the ship running. All of that having climaxing in one last battle. A battle no one will know but the crew and the Ancients. They will have to sail again in another life, but at least they will have done a moon the best favor they could've had done. No one will know of their sacrifice, but they will. Embracing the Abyss for good.

When I was finishing the campaign with my crew, we got stuck on the bottom of the level, unable to make consistent hits and repair the sub enough to go up. Our supplies were running low, and decision was made: we were not going alive out of there anyway. We got all the best equipment and went to face ancient abomination head-on, guns blazing! When the last man standing was about to die, final hit was blown; the Jove was defeated, by the sacrifice of the whole crew...

SOrry to leave a second comment, but I have an update. I heard it in game. Spoilers head, for those who care. . . . . (SPOILERS): We got fucked UP. Three nukes would have killed it, the last two I got to shoot were body blocked by guardians. We ended in a stalemate, stuck in a loop of no power due to EMP blasts and endless guardian hailfire. I may have updates in a few days. But till then, know that I, the weapon's engineer, demand the death of Jove with the split-atom. (UPDATE: we killed Jove with nukes. Fun game all in all!)

Nukes would've been nice. We killed it by blind firing Flak shots in it's general direction after having sunk to the bottom of the ruins. Our poor Berillia got battered with "whatever-it-is-that-thing-shoots (Green Balls I guess)". Of our 15 person Crew only the Captain, medic and one security officer were still alive keeping reactor and capacitor going to keep being able to fire the guns all while the floors and hull was already completely destroyed.
