Once you find the sweet spot with a bucket, that won't be the problem. For the sloop the window to the left of the stairs (going up) is the sweet spot, you just have to make sure you're aiming at the bottom of the wood, otherwise you'll hit the edge (makes no sense but it does). A ballsy one to save time is to stand at the bottom of the staircase and shoot it out the back of the ship over the map. Whether this one works is entirely up to the waves, where you are when you throw, and where the ship is after you throw, more ballsy but in calm water it's way faster. Note you also don't have to look down to scoop water. Other stuff is simple, angle sails to the wind, learn the drop time of the anchor, if you're cashing in loot either put everything on a rowboat or do my method, get the ship close, raise sails and use the harpoons to pull the ship slowly into the dock without hitting it so you can jump between them. Blunderbuss and Sword as your load out, it's a fairly easy game, the only hard parts are the unpredictability of enemy players...
