Z Carmine is a new character concept that a friend inspired me to make. I hope something like this happens in Gears of War : E-Day!

I dont think Clay enlisted until after E Day. Plus there IS a Carmine on E Day WILL CARMINE who was a Pendelum War veteran who was killed by Uzil RAAM on the opening hours of E Day. There is also FREDO CARMINE who was a journalist and interviewed Ezra Loomis about the Locust shortly before Halvo Bays destruction.

Dom told Benjamin how he served with his brother Anthony in gow 2 during the tutorial section but no one else, so I'd rather the soldier only say his first name and keep out the carmine part to keep that continuity accurate and rather have the name appear as a passing to which Marcus and Dom don't catch but us playing do, maybe as they walk away after helping the soldier or a collectible even

I don't think they should add a Carmine especially the way you're kinda suggesting. Not that I'd hate it. It would just be weird that Marcus wouldn't remember a Carmine when he first meets Anthony in the first game. I think a better idea would be to not add a Carmine directly but maybe reference to Will Carmine through his COG tag as a collectable and then maybe make the comic a reward in-game so people can understand who Will Carmine was.

Understandable point there, however you also have to remember that the timeline between E day and the original gears of war is a long one I think 12 years or something like that. It probably be fairly easy for both marcus and Dom and the carmines to forget a one off meeting. Especially if the person you saved long ago is now wearing a helmet all the time so you cant see their face and remember such an event.

Will dies in the opening hours by RAAM. So unless Marcus n Dom are near by when tht happens it'll prob be an audio EE saying his name n requesting help. Unless they ignore events in the comics. Clay couldn't be fighting he's 4 yrs old on E Day lol.

One of the first humans killed on the surface was Will Carmine like 5 seconds after retiring, he's giving up his lancer and RAAM comes through an E hole, since Will dies, it inspired Clay to join and then subsequently his brothers, at best if they're sticking to the lore then we'll see RAAM kill Will but that's if they wanna throw RAAM in, but we know he wouldn't die so that could be redundant to use a Carmine just to not bring RAAM for little to no real reason

To simplify I think we’ll have 5 Carmines in Eday participating in combat at some point. Grandfather Carmine Wills Father ABCDs Father Fredo Carmine Will Carmine I believe Fredo is Garys’ Dad explains the outsider roots and why Lizzie grew up COG because D Carmine stayed to fight and at some point Fredo left during the locust war or served til the end or nobody knows of Fredo whereabouts because he went special operations like onyx guard. Maybe Fredo is actually a brother of 3 and Will is the nephew. Maybe Fredo witnessed ABCDs Father(his Brother) get killed or even his other 2 brothers or their Father(Grandfather Carmine) get killed and why he kept distant from the four brothers when they grew up explaining why they don’t mention him. The rumor is Fredo was a cousin and reporter but that could just be a place holder and TC could even change or evolve his character into a gear and would make more sense if Fredo was brothers w Wills’ Father and ABCD Carmines Father since they share the same last name or Fred could be a brother to Grandfather Carmine but he’d be to old to have Gary so Fred makes sense as the survivor brother of 3 under grandpa especially if the 3 brothers were around Hoffman’s age could easily work like tell a story of pendulum war vets that die in the invasion. It’s also an opportunity to add other named helmeted characters that aren’t Carmine to really enrich the lore and story. But anyway 3 brothers under Grandfather Carmines command maybe and Will (the nephew to the other 2 brothers and the son to Wills Father). Will Carmine could be another reason why the 3 brothers and Grandfather kept fighting because of his sudden death by RAAM. Would make sense for 3 Carmines to die (Wills Father, ABCDs Father and Grandpa) expect for Mama(ABCDs Mom), Fred and the four brothers(ABCD) who had to at least just be kids around Eday. I think Clay joined military around 10 A.E plus because at least 18 for fighting age. Remember too Ben mentions mama in GoW2 so she could still be alive around swarm era idk what part she served maybe a gear since the carmines are military family or she was under cog protection due to their family serving. Hopefully TC is cooking something gooood.

D. Carmine is a Carmine who is still alive who hasn't been seen yet. In case you aren't aware "D. Carmine" is the figurative/unofficial name for the 4th unnamed Carmine brother who is the father of Lizzie Carmine. The name was picked due to the letters of each Carmine's first name in correspondence to the order of games they appeared in. Example Anthony was the first Carmine brother we saw and he also appeared in the first Gears of War. Benjamin was the second brother who appeared in the second game, and Clayton was the third brother and he appeared first in the third game. So it would stand to reason that the 4th Carmine brother may follow a similar pattern.

I like the idea but I think if this was to happen, Anthony would have recognized Marcus personally instead of just hearing about him in gears 1. You could avoid this issue by avoiding name drops and having dom and marcus never meet the kids, but still showing the viewer by panning the camera to inside a house as the main duo runs off. This game is likely to show off alot of iconic comic/novel/lore shit in game form, like Tai's chainsaw moment inventing the Lancer.

I mean wouldn't it fit tradition with 2 Carmine's that died and 1 that lived And 2 Carmine's already died. Meaning it would be recommended to live and let live on this one. Give Markus and the rest of squadron squadron a reason to care so much for carmine besides another cog they got to know. Including us. From a bystander perspective. There is more to it than just another cog that died on the battlefield. Carmine is a significant member to the rest of the squad. May be considered a greenhorn. But ultimately there is a reason carmine is so considered and why every time they are in a life or death situation just out side of being from Marcus and the rest. They treat every one of their deaths with the same energy we felt when dom did what dom did to save Marcus. So in conclusion. Let this be a reason. Cole train whats his face. The technician usually wearing goggles on his blond hair. Being a close partner ship like. Dom and Marcus. While carmine is probably the glue that kept them together throughout the rising of the horde. From emergence day and probably further back. Probably being one of the only individuals we know as an audience that has a lineage in the coalition and as cogs. Making changes across their planet that the name skips my mind currently. Perfect opportunity to expand upon such details. Not as in gameplay though that would be much appreciated. But in game lore the player can pick up on if they look and listen. ... Dot Dot Dot.

I don't think C Carmine would be that young on E-day, especially since he's a little bit around the same age as All of Delta presentday at the end of the war but he could basically be the youngest of them all of the group. Basically, I see C Carmine in a similar plot/ story set up like Jace in Raam, in other words, young but around late teens old enough that within 2-3years or so he enlists with the C.O.G.
