Imagine walking down the stairs ready to confront Billy without knowing his life story. Respect to you Billy for holding back while holding your ground and being peaceful.
@Bond202517 күн бұрын
I bet his ex-neighbours would have loved to confront him in such a way - but even Billy had a conscience. I just wonder if he has changed, was there ever any remorse for ruining the life of others? I have to say I would not like to have a criminal living next door to me. It is far too easy for people to get drawn back in to their old ways. I don't think many people do change, I just think they become better at manipulating people around them in to thinking they have. That is why so many reoffend. Remember how many people got stuck away for "three strikes and you're out" type offences. One thing all criminals do is learn what to say to tick a box. They become experts at fooling Probation, whose staff are mainly clueless and inexperienced with a tick-list, listening out for keywords. When you speak to a heroin addict, they all have the same old sad story ready. Billy doesn't, he says what he did and why and admits it. Every single one of them on videos was kicked out of a house when a parent died, or was escaping from domestic violence. They all follow the same script. Similar to all the people with a leg missing, it wasn't through meningitis when they were a child, or an accident, it was from injecting and deliberately infecting themselves to guarantee disability benefits. Heroin must have a strong pull if someone is prepared to do that to get more money in benefits to spend on it. A lot of viewers have no knowledge of criminals or their real past, or what some of them get up to, so can only take a person at face value. Most criminals learn to take advantage of others. I really do hope Billy is a changed person, he does seem to have left his addiction days behind. Strangely enough, he does seem a really nice person deep down, he just took the wrong road and is trying to make up for it now. One thing I do like is that he always tells people to stop taking the p..s and that they can not fool him as he has been there. Billy - I really really can't make my mind up about you! I want to be proved so wrong and I am sure others do. I'm 85% there thinking you have changed...

Billy, I’m a scouser. You don’t realise how much people like seeing this. You’re showing the reality of life in addiction and poverty. Why sugar coat anything? We need reality. I myself think what you’re doing is exceptional work. Hardly anyone else is doing it. I commend and appreciate what you do to bring awareness. It must be deflating when you get backlash but you’ve been through worse and understand it comes with the territory. You’ve lived the life so have every right to touch on it. It is a lot worse than Billy shows. He is not able to film what goes on in city centres when the tent people, who are not homeless, decide to start using and fighting. On workplace CCTV, I have seen people injecting in the groin and neck, one person missed and had blood spurting out. We thought there had been a murder as there was blood up the walls. They use the ground as a toilet, and engage in activities with each other and are not fussy about who or how many people they go between. Drugs are really bad.

I worked with homeless and addiction. Egerton court is the only place left for peeps with addictions etc. The Council do a great job considering lack of housing and funds. Did you notice no homeless on the streets? . The Barrow community are really supportive to each other. It would be nice if another visit was done to view Barrow properly and all the hard work that is put in. Tourist attractions The Abbey, Roanhead, Zoo, historical heritage the tenemants, which a lot have been refurbished. Beautiful Dalton, Coastlines, and Beaches, Nature Reserves. It's so sad when this town is shown in such a bad light when a lot of people living here and working to bring standards up. Thanks Billy, I lived in Barrow for a year with work. It was a depressing place, with some nice people but it was all very ‘small town’ and cliquey. I hope you return to the Court for a third visit as it feels like there is some great content to be had there, and some interesting tales from the locals if you can get them to open up a bit.

Ive got a mate who's from Barrow and now resides in Thailand and is a digital nomad. He told me about the small town mentality he often experienced in Barrow. Obviously its not everyone but ive never seen any locals in the inner cities of Manchester, Birmingham or Liverpool kick off at Billy like that before.

I used to live on Walney Island, Barrow. For a time. It was a great place to live and work, back in it's day. Haven't been back for the past 30 years. Thanks for giving me a glimpse of what it's like now. I'm weeping at what it's become.

Wow that was a rollercoaster, some of the people were lovely, and some at Egerton Court were...not lovely at all.

Ha ha billy has a great tolerance!! Such a shame he didn't pop to the beach to level things out a little,there's more to barrow than boarded up shops and the ego.

Thanks for visiting Barrow. The town is under refurbishment; Debenhams will be offices & training centre for BAE. The Market is being torn apart & rebuilt, Wilko's is going to be an entertainment centre, with ten pin bowling. There's a lot going on. The views of the sea just behind Edgerton court are lovely. Sorry you had a bad experience at the Ego. Love you & your channel.

Go on bill mate,!!show how England really is ,and becoming atm,so hopefully these people get help..all these local councils need to sort the mess out,via the government..this type off exposure is needed..✌️

As always loving your videos !! Them guys kicking off at you so out of order!! You could also say that you’re filming highlighting what the council should do to improve the area !!! Like skate parks, swings, slides, exercising machines, football pitches, basketball courts, tennis courts. I was completely amazed by all the parks that we have here in Spain, parks for the kids to play in, open to the public football pitches and skateparks, every town has one!!! Anyway it’s good that you held your chin up and didn’t lower yourself and keep your cool… and did a good job of composing yourself.. good to see your smile at the end 💪🏽👍🏼

Billy you should have a look at some other videos of barrow maybe a year or two prior of your video you will really see the difference of the town centre i totally agree with the women u spoke to because so much work has been done and i hope the town becomes something like it was in the 1900s absolutely booming… only if it stayed like that😢 hope to see barrow regain the potential it had in my life time

Ulverston down the road is one of my favourite places. Great community spirit and lots of independent shops without the tourist commercialism of the lake district towns.

Honestly! Just like Glasgow….‘People make Barrow’. Me and my partner are from Carlisle, we lived in Barrow from 2003 to 2005 Barrow was brilliant! The people were amazing 25 minutes you are in coniston Honestly the beaches around Barrow are incredible! All the reds are from Barrow! Emlyn Hughes! Seriously go to Roanhead beach or get over to Piel island We were so welcomed in Barrow the people were brilliant and honestly people were so friendly and open minded, it put me in mind of Merseyside actually! We’ll always have affection for Barrow.
