Thank you! Till recently I had assumed that this song was composed by Monk - sounds like something else he's done? I heard a Mose Allison rendering and investigated. It was written for Maurice Chevalier in 1930 by Richard A. Whiting & Newell Chase. Whiting predates Gershwin and mentored him in the biz. He has written several familiar tunes (On The Good Ship Lollipop) and some are Jazz standards.
