Barry Cryer recalls This Is Your Life

The writer and comedian Barry Cryer was surprised by Michael Aspel in November 1994 for the television programme This Is Your Life.

I met Barry Cryer by sheer chance on a commuter train out of London a few years ago. I asked about his meeting Laurel and Hardy in Nottingham in the 1950s when they were on tour and the conversation was away. He got so wrapped up in his subject he almost forgot to get out at his station. Such a pleasure to have had a conversation with him.

Barry is one of the great comedians / scriptwriters , he's been around forever , knows everyone , has written for everyone , lovely to see him again .
