Stjin Wauters, thank you so much ! This Barry Harris masterful solo is such a brilliant choice to transcribe and generously share. Surely Barry Harris was thinking of Bud Powell and also of Bird as he played this- they were never far from his thoughts- and he adds his own elegance and eloquence to these relaxed yet electriying lines; a series of beilliant surprises that BH made sound inevitable. And eternal.

Hey Stijn, such a beautiful playing by Barry, so lyrical, relaxed and swinging. This is one of my favourite albums and one of Barry’s best. Barry is so inventive here, I like his 3rd chorus right after the “Cocktail For Two” quote. Great ideas treated with such elegance. You did a really good job, detailed two handed notation. Bravo and thanks for sharing ✨
