As other have said, your vids are the best! I'm so tired of YT cliches (ex., injections of 'funny' content, fancy editing, etc.) rampant in other videos.. You're above the rest.

Absolutely brilliant. I've been waiting for this lesson all my life. Excellent insight into Red Garland's comping style. One of the best jazz piano videos I have seen on KZbin. I hope you continue making such great material for a long time !

This is just freakin insane. I keep getting more and more mindblowing the more of your videos I watch. Bro this is LITERAL GOLD. wtf. I can't even comprehend I mean you could spend a year just studying this one video and get SO much better as a pianist. This is so great man, thanks so much for the hard work you've put in to produce this content for us. Not only visuals and audio, but sheet music, in different styles, all sorts of ideas/lines/chords/patterns. I mean dude this is just gold. Just amazing man. Much love.

These are THE best instructional jazz piano videos/transcriptions that I have seen. And I have spent hundreds on other "celebrity" inst. videos,, which were mostly a promo for that person... These are absolutely THE BEST.

Great - excellent didactics - video. When I started playing the tune with my trio few months ago, I came up with very comparable voicings. One difference: I use the #11 in measures 4 and 8 as melody tone (on the Bb7 and the Eb7); for some reason 50% seem to play it with #11, 50% with the F and the Bb

Too quick, there is no way you can follow the material at speed presented.
@StijnWautersАй бұрын
Hi, thanks for your comment. You know you can adjust the speed of the video to slow down the examples. Or you can pause the video whenever you want. You can also download the sheet music for free. The video shows the bebop examples at “normal” speed, since it is common to play bebop at faster tempos. You can put these exercises in your practice routine, but of course you can start slower. Happy practicing..!

My wife and I fell in love listening to Fats Waller together. Fast forward twenty five years and I started piano five years ago. I just discovered your channel yesterday. Your technical skills and joy of music brings tears to my eyes. A man can dream. Thank you for your dedication and inspiration.
