Thank you for posting, I'm currently an injured bike racer and watching these helps me get my mind to where it wants to be, at least. You've done a very nice service and also based on what I see you are one awesome racer, mad respects and thanks!

As I was taking in all the dust I was thinking about a mask... but then realized I just need to train harder and ride in the very front. No dust in the front. That is the plan next year....

Did you win the race to the line ? Great improvement What happened to your gears in the sand pit where you put the bike on its side ?
@DrewFriestedt8 жыл бұрын
Ya - I beat him at the line. Turns out he was in wave that left before me. I stopped in the sand pit with a chain suck. It was peddling too hard as I down shifted to the little ring and the chain got sucked into the bottom bracket. Next year I'll be ready for a big day. I've been training really hard and plan to put up a big effort next year! Should be interesting.

It's quite involved to do a full 3hr video and overlay garmin data. Gopro saves files in 3.5G increments. You need to stitch the files together first into one LARGE file. You need windows10 64bit or a mac to do that. I use virb edit to stitch all the files together. the resulting file is about 60g and takes about 10 hours to compile. Then you need to overlay the garmin data with virb edit. You export the large file again and at 1080p it takes another 10 hours to save that file. Then you can upload to youtube. I recommend SSD drives with 200g free. The entire process takes about 2 days to complete and about 1hr of working on the computer.... It took me about 10 hours of work to figure out how to do it the first time. You need a powerful computer and I would use a mac to start.... PCs are a mess to deal with.

Here is a post with details about the route. It's Michigan, so no big climbs or hills. It's more of a punchy course.www.360velo.com/barry-roubaix-gravel-race-overview-and-tips/
