For what it’s worth, I think the actual story line isn’t as bad as just the order in which the games were released. And If they would have spent half the amount of effort on the “in between” games as they did for 1,2, and 3, I feel like people would have actually played them in order or at least paid more attention. This is my favorite series of all time but when I was younger I didn’t even know about any of the other games besides 1 and 2 until I got a little older.

@@keithhernandez48 sorry, but even in order, there are so many plot holes and ex machinas that the story is pretty much garbage..i've played this series since the first one and loved it when i was a kid, but the story is terrible..i just finished the 3rd game, and it's pretty much just a spectacle without purpose..nothing happens for any discernable reason, sora shows no personal growth over the past 20-odd years we've been following him, and the rules of hearts and nobodies and heartlesses get thrown out the window constantly (i.e. they turned roxas into a real person, even though he is the digitized nobody created from ventus's heart that was dormant in sora's heart when sora turned himself into a nobody then was inexplicably turned back into a somebody..see how much sense that makes?)..if the story or even the game developers could focus on literally any one thing, the series would be better for it..my favorite part of the game, honestly, was the gummi missions

@@NeoSaturos123 okay so in fragmentary passage, because Aqua starts off strong enough to use Firaga, she can actually use Firaja with situation commands, BUT in KH3 when Sora uses Firaga the situation commands will do Firaza and NOT Firaja, and also notably, in KH2 they do something AWFUL and instead of -ja or -za it becomes Firagun, but you can only cast Firagun and Blizzagun during a boss fight in the Aladdin world, and also when you get the accessories that defend from elements they also can go to -gun, so because of Kingdom hearts there are now 3 suffixes that as far as I know are all the same strength

To be honest even with the series and this game summarized beautifully by Barry, with comedy, making fun of the characters but also sticking to material as well. My reaction to the summary (as great and effective as it is) is that scene in Kingdom Hearts 1 where Goofy asks Donald “Did you get that?” There is like a second worth of no response and Donald answers with “No.”

Okay so I don't know if you just didn't know this, but in KH 358/2 Days, Roxas and Xion end up growing hearts throughout the game while they interact with each other. This lets us know that while Nobodies start out without hearts they can form them through the interaction between other people, not just other nobodies. Xemnas was essentially gaslighting everyone into thinking that the Organization would be unable to be whole again unless they completed Kingdom Hearts. This was Xemnas' half of the plan. Apologies for the length, I just really like Roxas and Xion's story. Its my favorite. Also I'm really hoping two of the unknown Princesses of Heart are Moana and Merida.

@@cedialive2759Yeah it's silly. I think it has something to do with Xion being created from Sora's heart but not really being a nobody because she's just a replica(?). Roxas also technically had a heart (I believe) due to being Ventus's nobody but originating from sora's body due to him carrying Ventus' heart as well as Kairis (which would also explain Naminè having/growing a heart) but releasing only one heartless. Essentially the way a nobody is created dictates whether they have a heart, and because Sora (for whatever fucking reason) had three hearts, the circumstance of their existences as nobodies changed. It's convoluted and based on some small details but it is a JRPG... So... With Lea as well, they kinda just revived him in three by bringing his (and other peoples) nobody/heartless together i think

At the end of 358 its kinda STRONGLY implies Xion and Roxas Literally can't coexist cuz they're both Sora's nobodys. Roxas literally couldn't be complete while she existed. Everyone literally forgot she existed when she died. How did she get brought back?

So here's what happened, this is about to be SUPER important since kh4 just got announced: XV wasn't originally XV It started as FF Versus XIII which was a cog in this grand machine Nomura was daydreaming about FFXIII that game and a psp game all sharing the same universe and mythos. XIII wound up going in a different direction, the psp game became a different game, and Squeenix just went to Nomura and were like "dude kh3 should've been out like 13 years ago, just focus on that don't worry about this shit that doesn't matter" And Nomura was like "DID SOMEONE SAY THIRTE-" And as Nomura lay broken and defeated being cast from Eden and into Osaka, he muttered to himself: "You want kingdom hearts....ILL SHOW YOU KINGDOM HEARTS!!!" So he decided to just make kingdom hearts in the game he really really wanted to make instead of the game he really really needed to make. None of this is official of course, but people were slowly connected the dots in 3 and the dlc that the series from now on is just gonna be Versus XIII but with kingdom hearts slapped on the front, and the trailer for 4 basically just confirmed that. So yeah. That's what that's referring to. You're welcome.

@Buttered Biscuit Pickles I know it's kinda late, but Ansem SoD looks like that from possessing Riku in KH1, which is why Riku's heart was shoved into the realm of darkness toward the end of that game. Once he's defeated, Riku's body zhhoooops back over to his heart, and he closes the Door to Darkness from that side with Mickey.

But in 358 days it was confirmed they could regain their memories and have been doing so for over 10 years. Xemnas was so lucky none of the apprentices remembered Terra-Nort cutting them down.

The opposite was the ending to Anthem's initial storyline. The final bossfight is a mullti-stage multi-arena fight where the big boss of one of the factions took in god's soundcloud and started to fuck shit up with the power of the 4 elements. First you fight him while he's firebending, then acidbending, then lightningbending switching between 2 arenas. Each arena takes off a quarter of his healthbar before he moves to the next one. As you are finishing off the lightning stage, you expect the natural 4th stage, the ice stage. Instead it goes to a cutscene where your partner fuckin rams the avatar with your deer aircraft carrier in a massive satisfying crunch. This is the reason that you playthrough the game for the first time with friends doing the same thing because I was doing that and my friend saw it and shouted by reflex "HE STOLE MY FUCKING KILL!" and I fell off my chair laughing. Very unexpected and still satisfying.

I was expecting Xehanort to undergo some laser-guided karma and get killed by Kingdom Hearts (That would have turned out to be conscious and wanting to assimilate all worlds) or something like that, OR there be a major plot twist making Master Yen Sid or Master Eraqus the villain and Xehanort the good guy trying to stop him but being misunderstood by everyone else. But no, Xehanort has to simply say "Oh, well I will be good then" after seeing Eraqus again.

It’s unclear if it’s even a video game at all. The concept of “worldlines” were brought up in KH3’s secret reports. It’s possible that it’s actually an alternate reality. Because if you look at Yozora and those 2 other guys in the Toy Story ad, it’s possible that THEY are alternate versions of Sora, Donald, and Goofy.

I know that. But Yozora isn’t Noctis. Yozora takes inspiration from Noctis, yes. But he is not LITERALLY him. In a way, you can say it’s Nomura’s own vision of the character (but with a different name). The one from the original FF Versus 13 that is. That is what Verum Rex will likely become. Nomura is gonna create his FF vs. 13 but in the KH universe. And him being an alternate version of Sora and those 2 guys (that look like ignis and prompto) being Donald and Goofy is just a personal theory of mine. After all, in the secret reports the concept of “worldlines” were brought up. I’m speculating this could mean alternate realities.

Riku's going ahead to -Verum Rex Tokyo- Quadratum while Kairi transfers her Keyblade studies from Yen Sid to Aqua. Will she join up with Sora and Riku in the fake place in time? Errruhhh, I dunno, maybe? And what will the groups in Land of Departure and Twilight Town be doing?
