Everyone talks about Buckethead's incredible technical playing skills, which are obvious, but I don't think he gets enough credit for his amazing compositional skills. Yes, he has well over 400 albums of original material, but he's not just churning out a bunch of filler crap. He has so much fantastic material. No one else even comes close.

Brian Carroll a.k.a. Buckethead is one of the greatest guitar players on the planet. When you watch more of his videos, you’ll see some of the things he does are unbelievable. His fingers are like spiders running up and down the neck of that guitar. He plays all kinds of music, and he’s great to listen to you. Try listening to Buckethead- Jordan live at the Culture Room it’s amazing. Buckethead is a huge martial arts fan who does nunchucks on stage, he does the robot on stage, and he goes to local stores buys toys and hands them out at all his shows. Then they put one of his songs "Jordan" on guitar hero 2 and he really blew up. One of the most unique guitar players ever.

I've had the pleasure seeing him live 3 times. Definitely an experience to check out, with Japanese action/superhero type movies playing in the background, his robot dancing, nunchuk displays and finally exchanging toys with the audience. For other songs/videos to check out I would recommend Jordan live at the Culture Room (recommended below as well) and Ozzfest 99 with Primus. Buckethead was also a lead guitarist in Guns N Roses for 4 years, back when Axl Rose was the only original member left (around 2000). There's a good video of Guns N Roses at the 2002 MTV Video Awards with Buckethead playing in that show. The thing about Buckethead....he plays ALL types of music. Mainly rock, but he's got a ton of slower, jazzier/bluesy songs, as well as country/chickenpickin type songs like Hog Stomp B!tch. With 400+ albums, there's a ton to check out. Buckethead also had the opportunity to be the guitarist for Ozzy Osbourne, but Ozzy thought he was "too weird." He would not break character and take off the mask to talk with Ozzy.

@barsandbarbells2022 Nice reaction vid. I always enjoy watching how people unfold when listening to Buckethead. Make no mistake Buckethead is the G.O.A.T. He is not from this solar system. One day Brian Patrick Carroll was eating some KFC while watching his favorite horror movies and decided to wear the bucket with a mask. He was promptly teleported to a chicken coop on another planet where he acquired his powers to evoke emotions through his music. His compositions are called Pikes which number in the hundreds. He can also play a few instruments although his guitar playing is not just god-like, he is the God of Guitar and creates soulful music as well as hard kickass riffs. Pike 65 was dedicated to his late mother. Close your eyes and feel Pike 234. Many get hung up on the self-image, money and fame Buckethead never cared for any of that. No one can find him. He comes back to Earth now and again to release a new Pike. A phenom musician and a good human being. We are fortunate he shares his music with the world 🕉️ 💙 Mr. Carroll thank you for sharing yourself with us!
