This is an R&B classic! Written and produced by hitmakers Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis. They were writing and producing for a few different artists on the Tabu Records label at the time. S.O.S. Band are great. I also love their songs "Take Your Time (Do It Right)", "Tell Me If You Still Care", and "Weekend Girl."

This was the full album version of this song, which is why it's playtime is a bit longer. If you like the S.O.S. Band, you'll probably want to check out their biggest hit at some point "Take Your Time (Do It Right)".

I was so lucky that I was spinning at weddings and parties during the 80s ... During this time everyone just wanted to have a good time and music had such a great beat and filling the floor was such a high. Miss those times. Thanks guys ❤❤😊

I remember the 1st time I heard this song. While visiting an old Navy buddy in New Orleans in 1983, the day after I was leaving to head home, Richard Pryor was doing a show at the Saenger Theater which I would have to miss and I was bummed, only to find out later that year, it was filmed and made into his live movie Here and Now, and this song was played for the closing credits! I was so immediately taken with it, that it was one of the few times I've ever stayed for the credits after a movie, until this song was over and I got to find out who it was. I have been a huge SOS Band fan ever since, and not very many songs where I can remember exactly where I was when I first heard them. Just The Way You Like, It is another great SOS Band song worth reacting to.

I watch you guys periodically, and just today I was listening to this song. I log into my computer, check in on youtube, and see this. At first I thought this was an old video, and I was a victim of internet spying. Then I realized that it's from today, and I realize that it's just a cool coincidence.

SOS were "all that and a bag of chips" back in the day. Put on any one of their hits and the dance floor would be crowded. Others have listed what those hits are and you can't go wrong with any one of them. Dive deeper.

Usually I'm not a fan of cover versions (or more to the point, I choose my cover versions very particularly) but here, the Dub version by Beats International, called "Dub be good to me" is much better.

Damn, the memories growing up in Brooklyn as a kid back then. Riding our BMX bikes practicing tricks, tagging city buses and break dancing with our wind breaker and card board. Makes me sad thinking about how much time has passed

Dub group Beats International did a great cover of this track titled "Dub Be Good To Me" in the early '90s. It was a number 1 hit in the UK. Not quite as good as this version in my opinion but we'll worth checking out.

Beats International was yet another early alias of Norman Cook aka Fatboy Slim. He appears on stage or in the video pretending to play bass guitar.

Used to own a nightclub in the 90s. There were certain songs that no matter the decade those songs always brought ladies to the dance floor. This was one of them for sure. Other ones were Meet me in the ladies room, Back to life by Soul ll Soul, Baby Love by Mothers Finest, It takes two by Rob Base, I’ve got the Power by SNAP, Summertime by Will Smith, Let the music Play by Shannon and of course many others! Good times! Thanks for the fun reactions

It pisses me off how majority of their music isn't on any streaming platforms. I'm guessing due to labeling issues. But SOS Band has such an amazing Discography that shouldn't be shelved. You guys should react to their song "No One's Gonna Love You".

Come on now, SOS band that got some bangers in the 80's. The late 70's - early 90's was the greatest time for music respectfully in my opinion. But if you 2 have time can you react to SOS Band "Tell Me If You Still Care About Me" ty both for this reaction.

I listened to the following album of the S.O.S. Band a million times in 84/85/86 (title "Just the way you like it" - like the hit song - only 7 mostly long songs in the album). The sound was the same... but in my opinion the melodies were slightly better and there was a much smoother sound to the album. Anyway... because I stumbled in very oddly after a long reaction session to ONE song... did you ever hear to Neneh Cherry? You were into Hip Hop a lot, right? Probably you heard her hit "Buffalo Stance" from '88. If not... maybe you wanna try it? In my opinion one of the greatest hip hop songs ever, but definitely from the 80s. Its so funky and "breakdancy" (if this is a word). Anyway - thanks a lot for your reaction like always 🙂
