YOURE IN CT???? You gotta try Haven Pizzaria Napoletana, it’s in prospect, just outside of New Haven, and it’s my favorite pizza I’ve ever had. I’ve commented about it before, it closed a few years ago and reopened about half a year ago. Fair point. Feels like there hasn't been much innovation in the pizza box game. Like people make delicious pizza then chuck it in a box. Took the time to make a masterpiece but served it in a claustrophobic corrugated cardboard prison, where the sentence is loss of crisp.

Some new boxes have tombstone style push downs for vents. This is the same reason I hate delivery anything. Even if they do have good ventilation they tie it up in a bag and just steam your delivery to a soggy death. Maybe Scott needs to manufacture a line of pizza boxes. Apparently, even more modern vented pizza boxes exist. California Pizza Kitchen even uses them.

Haha I live here part time. It’s ok but not as good as midway pizza in Groton. That place is all original since 1973 I believe. Even inside is from 1973 like a Time Machine. .They have best around.and it’s crispy as heck. This dude needs to see them. I have them on my speed dial when I get off the plane to visit mystic in summers.

I really like Mango's it's really good when it's hot and fresh out for sure. Having had lots and lots of CT pizza, I'd say it's an 8.3 on average, and the best in Mystic.

He has texture sensitivity like a child. There's no way a pizza that has all the right flavor can drop that much just from it losing a little crunch. All the flavor profile from the char, caramelization, etc, is still present. If anything, it's intensified from cooling down. The pizza wasn't doughy or undercooked, it wasn't a grease mess, it wasn't falling apart, it wasn't overworked and chewy. It lost some of its crunch from sitting for a little while, that's it. But for some reason Portnoy never matured out of the picky eater phase, so if it doesn't have the crunch he likes, he reacts irrationally.

What they should do is make a pizza box that has a bunch of holes punched out of the top and back wall roughly 1/4” to 1/2” in diameter. But have the holes situated so that you could easily cover them up with some kind of film or paper that adheres to the box if the person needs coverage

The crisp may have been borked by the rain and moisture. Cooking pizza on a wet day can change things up.
