Dmitri Shostakovich - String Quartet No. 6, Op. 101 (1956)

This was the very first piece I heard from Shostakovich; although it was performed by the Borodin Quartet. Immediately got all the quartets, and his opus of solo piano preludes and fugues.

One of my favourite quartets! The third movement passacaglia is a real gem.

Wunderschöne Interpretation dieses neoklassischen und perfekt komponierten Streichquartetts im veränderlichen Tempo mit seidigen Tönen beider Violinen, mildem Ton der Bratsche und tiefem Ton des Violoncellos. Der dritte Satz klingt besonders schön und echt tiefempfunden. Im Kontrast klingt der letzte Satz echt rhythmisch und auch überzeugend. Die intime und perfekt entsprechende Miteinanderwirkung zwischen den vier Virtuosen ist wahrhaft eindrucksvoll. Wunderbar vom Anfang bis zum Ende!

@@jonathanrosentreter4976 Die Einfüsse dieser sind aber in seinen Werken nicht von der Hand zu weisen. Z.B. 1ster Satz 15 Symphony, 3 Streichquartett, 1 Satz 9 Symphony.
