Good video and tips for staying safe! Really enjoy Abdon/s gear videos too. RE's downrigger helps with one of my pet peeves with other at height friction setups and that is getting the rope end back thru it for the next rig. Wish they'd work on one with an MBS about 700-800 lbs maybe? If not RE then DMM anyone? Cheers

@@BartlettArboristSupply The RE Downrigger docs show that it's not for negative rigging and safety factor is 10:1 ! There's stuff out there that shows it in use for negative rigging tho, even with double block. I kinda think this'd be pushin' it, esp. according to the UK HSE pdf doc on arborist rigging (RR 668 - section 8). For lowering - heap good piece of gear tho.

😂 jolly jumper has me☠️. I'm 5'6" on a good day. if I wear a belt on my pants I look like I'm wearing a corset🤣 I would normally always switch to my forward ventral attachments. However, this saddle was fresh out of the bag 20 minutes ago. I only had time to change my components from another saddle to this one. By the time I got into the tree I realized I did not set it up properly so I just stuck with hip attachments. Regardless, good eye for detail 🤙

I found a couple Bartlett shirts that were custom color... no one wanted them! They are a sky blue or an ocean blue color 💙. I think the color is pretty rad

Hello Bartlett, I have a question for you since it's related to your channel. My wife wants to know the real difference between tree climbing and tree saddle hunting, and which one is safer. I know one is for work and the other is for a hobbie. But for example, both can require you to be in a tree all day. You seem to have multiple points of contact for safety, while saddle hunting seems to only have one point for the rope and a foot stand. If you ever made a video about this, that would be great. Thanks for the informative videos so far!
