I read Bartleys book and i think he was a true man of respect,never took liberties with weaker people.Tough as rusted nails,bear in mind this is a man who can happily live in the wild with no amenities,living off the land and still fight any man in Britain willing to take him on.Full respect god rest his soul.

So you are a relative of this good man? Can you tell me if there is any footage of any of his fights? Or any sites where there is anything about him? BTW you look pretty handy with the fists as well. I'm an O'Neill and my father used to talk of Bartley when he was giving me some boxing lessons. My dad was Eddie O'Neill, he became a merchant seaman out of Liverpool when he was 14 around 1933

@kevingunter3 he would of seriously hurt any one of them. this man was the king of the gypsies. he had some legendary fights that people called fairytales. so mohammad ali came to meet him to see if he was the real deal and ali himself said just the presence of bartley gorman was enough to defeat a man. there is storys of him having fights that lasted for over 3 hours, no breakes for rests just pure toe to toe until the other man can take no more.
