Thank you so much for this I’ve been looking all over for someone to teach about this. I’m barley six months in to a BAS company I’m 22 and I’ve never even worked with tools until now. A lot of this seems like gibberish to me and even a lot of the things I do know I still don’t have a crystal clear understanding of how they work, what they do, their purpose and how it all works together. You were right tho someone in the future will see this and atm that’s me and I really really needed this thank you so much!

Thank you. Where are you on your journey of becoming a BAS professional?

@@SmartBuildingsAcademy I am currently still a commercial HVAC mechanic. I’ve been applying for controls jobs but it seems like companies want to hire me as a HVAC tech rather than controls. I’m learning that it’s somewhat difficult to get someone to give you a shot at it.

I encourage you to contact us thru your website. I'm sure we could find a company willing to invest in training and onboarding you.

Hey Mr. Zito, hope you get the chance to see this. I'm a young hvac service tech( ~4 years) who just finished his first semester back in college. I recently got an opportunity to apply for a controls position at a company. I'm concerned as I fit most of the requirements but I don't have any actual experience in the field of controls. Should I keep studying before the interview or see if they offer any training programs? I'm more than willing to learn but don't want to let this opportunity slip out of my hands. Thank you so much for the videos and for giving me someplace to start!

Right now it's more about confidence then experience. I would be upfront, I don't have experience in XYZ but here is what I'm doing to close that gap. Business owners want to know that someone they hire is detail oriented, reliable, and is invested in the career. Instead of applying through the website, call the business and ask to speak with the operations manager or connect via LinkedIn. Tell them why you are interested and that although you may not have experience in XYZ here is what you're doing to close those gaps and why you would be a good hire.

First of all, Thank you for sharing. Secondly, I am a mechanical Engineering student in year 2 and I really gain interest about BAS. I would like to ask that what are the requirements before learning BAS? pardon me if this question seems strange. Thank you for your generous answer.
@SmartBuildingsAcademy4 жыл бұрын
Well it depends on what you want to do in BAS.
