Thank you. :) I I figure there is no sense in being negative when bad things happen because we are all going through SOMETHING. How we handle it is what really counts. Thank you for your sweet comment. I really appreciate it! 💕-Amirah

I was born in Ohio and also have pale skin like yours. I was teased a lot for being so pale. Had a lot of sunburns as a kid - I'm now 65. Thanks for describing the tiny black dot you first had . I developed a tiny black dot on my face about 3 months ago. I have a doctor's appt next week to have it looked at. I didn't realize it could be skin cancer until you described it. Thank you so much! You are inspiring! I wish you good luck with your health

Hi, Sandy! I'm happy that you are taking the time to have it looked at. Better safe than sorry! Don't forget to go ahead and have them look over your body to find anything else that may look suspicious (especially on your back). You can screen yourself before you go and have them check on things that you've already noticed. I'll be making another video about the spot they removed from my breast the other day...I got the call yesterday that I have skin cancer again. :( The worst part is that she missed it and said it was nothing to worry about, but I insisted she biopsy it and I was right. That's pretty scary!

You and I are so similar. I am also of Scottish/Irish descent and live in the South. I was first diagnosed with my first basal cell carcinoma when I was 26. Now im 38 and went from having to have skin exams at my dermatologist office every 6 months, to now every 3 months. I have never gotten away with not having a biopsy in thr past 12 years, ever! I, too, didn't wear sunscreen much as a child, suffered many serious sunburns growing up, and laid in the tanning bed periodically due to social pressures to have a tan. My friends were all tan. Why couldn't I be? In the past 12 years I have had over 50 biopsies, over 40 in office surgeries, and today I'm going in for my 5th MOHS surgery. This one is on my nose which will make the 3rd scar on my face. The 2 scars I have on my face now are 2 inches long. It is very disappointing, discouraging, depressing, etc. I have never had melanoma and I am so thankful for that. But I really wish this would let up at some point. I am not a vain person but this has been detrimental to my self esteem. Well wishes to you and thank you so much for sharing 😊

Hi, Heather. I am just now seeing your message, so I apologize for not getting back to you sooner. I hope your MOHS surgery went well. One thing that seemed to have helped me is an addition of a Turmeric/Curcumin supplement I take daily. I use the Spring Valley brand, which can be found at Walmart, Target, Amazon, and others. I only take one capsule per day. I've done a lot of medical research on this and came across a medical journal publication a few years ago that said they had great results with this supplement helping prevent multiple types of skin cancers. Luckily, I have not needed any more biopsies since starting these supplements 2 years ago, so it does appear to be working for me so far. Another recommendation is to get yourself on a good probiotic ( I prefer the Renew Life brand) to help build your immune system, and I also take Vitamin E just before or after prolonged sun exposure because it helps protect against free radical damage. Thanks for reaching out, and thank you so much for watching! 🙂

Sorry to hear it. It's a good thing you insisted on her doing a biopsy but too bad it's malignant ☹️

I'm awaiting results of biopsy but doctor said it wasn't bcc and was positive if that then when I had biopsy different doctor said it was small bcc now I'm scared and in limbo surely first doctor wouldn't have said that if she wasn't sure she even started dictating a letter to GP while I was in room

Hi, Debbie. I hope that your results are negative, but if they aren't, you will get through this. I know it is very scary, but you are not alone. Best wishes for a happy outcome.🙏🏻

Thank you for this video... I have been fighting psoriasis for eons it seems and it's painful in places like my face so the dermatologist put me in a room...with a tanning bed...well the sun helps but have to wear sunscreen...so...it seems weird...this worries me though,...a lot of the meds say rare cancers have occurred ....so still fighting.,

Hi, Sandra. I would rather have psoriasis over skin cancer any day. That Dr. seems like he is using an outdated approach. Have you looked into any herbal/natural remedies? Here is a great article about it, which probably has much more information about it than what your Dr. told you. Meanwhile, please avoid the tanning bed! :( draxe.com/psoriasis-diet-5-natural-cures/
